Don Lupe's Grill

I used to eat here many times along with my co-workers when I worked for the school district. Food was always good. Their lunch specials are so good too. After retiring I had not been back because now it's a little off my way. Decided to go visit there again today with a friend and the food was still as good as before. The complimentary chips, salsa and soup hit the spot as we waited for our plates.The employees and the owner are very friendly and always check up on you. Great food and great service. Glad we went today!!

Used to eat here quite often because it is close by but also because the food was good. When we walked in for breakfast the waitress brought out coffee because she knew what we wanted. There was a problem with bill being paid because of her card machine not working right. Gave her cash and things were good. Went in another time and she gave me my money back because she said my card was charged. Again on another visit she confronted my wife (her name on card), mind you, my wife wasn't involved in transaction. When I was discussing this with her with no harsh words and trying to get it figured out (I was planning on going home and see if deducted from card before paying) her husband jumped up and told me I was banned from restaurant. A little harsh reaction but he walked me to door but then she came out to talk to me. I told her we wouldn't be back and haven't. After getting home and seeing amount not deducted I took her back $20 and told her to keep it walked out. Really sorry for his reaction. She told me she was struggling but still won't bring us back. We were spending at least $100 a month there. Now it is spent at other restaurants in area. I realize his name is on the building but she runs the place so ultimately it is on her.
