I'm always on the lookout for new and exciting places to try and I've been to my fair share of seafood places. But I've never had anything like the seafood at Yama Sushi place. Absolutely smashing! It's not just a restaurant, it's an experience. Authentic moments, laughter, and food that hits the mark, it's a rare gem indeed.
The Fish was so fresh, and it tasted like it had just come straight from the ocean. The chefs are incredibly talented, and they know how to bring out the best flavor in each ingredient. Each dish was creatively presented, and the sashimi was simply delicious. We had a great time chatting with chefs about about the different types of fish.
The service is also top-notch. The floor staff are friendly and attentive, and they always make sure that you have everything you need. They even have a great selection of drink to pair with your meal.
I had a memorable dining experience here with my friends. We left the restaurant feeling completely satisfied. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting. I will definitely be back to this restaurant again.
Thus far, THE best sushi within 10 miles. What is the fundamental characteristic of good sushi? It is the freshness of the fish and ingredients. This restaurant easily exceeded this expectation. Weekends get busy. So arrive early if you want a table facing the lake. Service was good. Miso is extra.
The hubby and I got their Don's Prex Fixe Course Menu for a special date night instead of our usual rolls (the ginja roll is iur favorite). We were seated at one their tables right by the edge of the balcony and the view was beautiful and relaxing. Everything was perfection, from the service down to the quality of all the food served that day. We did get there early and beat the dinner rush so may want to keep that in mind. Also, since it's by the water, there may be those nats flying about depending on the time of day, in which case you may want to be seated further in. Highly recommend.
We came in for a reservation but had to make it to-go due to a medical issue with a family member. The staff were so helpful, kind, patient, and attentive.
And the food is DELICIOUS! Service and quality food, what more could you want?

You have to try their Langostino roll! Also recommend the black cod. Great views, food, and customer service. The perfect place for a celebration or just a random weeknight dinner. Mostly locals here and has a very local vibe. Our party of 6 ranging in ages from 14-75 left full and satisfied!
Having been recommended by a friend, my family and I decided to try eating at Yama Sushi for dinner. From the moment we opened the door, we were hit with a warm and positive aura and an amazing view! The surrounding lake is quite therapeutic and relaxing for one to gaze at while dining. The setting is very reminiscent of Lake Como in Italy. The fusion of cultures provides diversity and this is shown through the chef's culinary mastery. The sushi was the greatest and the warmth of the environment is unlike any other! The presentation of the sushi was beautiful and the taste was the greatest. Must try!
They were very accommodating to sit us outside on the lake. I would have gladly given them 5 stars but they they were slow and unattentative when it came to ordering and waiting for the food to come. Don't know if it was because of the combination of being busy and/or lack of enough servers, but they made up for it in the quality of their sushi. Fresh and delicious. Highly recommended.
Love the Tuna Tower, usually order 2 right when I get there. Beautiful views of the lake and good service. They must have a great lunch special because they are always busy at that time with courses rather then rolls
Great food. Good view of the Lake MV Just was late on 3 of our main Entree orders.

I had the Salmon and my wife the Chilean Sea Bass. Both were excellent. Great miso soup and a salad with a very chilled sesame dressing.
