The best cod I have ever eaten. Ever. Potato pancakes were perfect. The other sides were just ok. Nothing special. But! The cod and potato pancakes made up for it.
Great Whiskey Old Fashion.
Staff was excellent they were super nice and answered all of our questions.
This little place is hopping. Super busy on Friday night.
Locals walked in and the waitress brought their drinks within minutes.
We will be back.

Great food, reasonable prices and excellent service. Small place so get there early for dining. Summer outside seating available. Great friendly local restaurant!

Called ahead as we had a larger group. They accommodate us, which was great! They have limited parking but the food and service was excellent. The crab Rangoon pizza…. Fantastic!!!!

Had a cheeseburger and it was fantastic! Local place with locals in of course. One of the owners were there and she's hilarious. We were being given a tour of places from people from our hometown and this was recommended.

Nice, friendly service and great food. We enjoyed a Chicago hot dog and burger. Nice selection of tap beers.

Great bar, food and staff! They do amazing things for the size kitchen they have to work with! To all the staff at Preuss’s Pub, keep up the good work!

First visit to Preuss's PUb - on a recommendation from D at Leisure City. We enjoyed the our first visit to this iconic, kitschy Northwoods original bar. It's small and intimate - the bar seats 10-12 at the most and the front dining area seats about the same. Looks like there is a nice outdoor serving area that overlooks Little Musky Lake - we plan to visit next season. Check out the decorative, wood inlay bar - very cool. Our bartender served up a couple of Wisconsin classics - Brandy Old Fashioneds to start our evening. Tasty, but not the best...We ordered from the bar as our waitress arrived and got herself settled, she was friendly and accommodating - she made our visit comfortable. "She" tried the pan fried walleye, and I tried the "Friday Fish Fry" - both served with house made baked beans and creamy cole slaw, lemon wedges and rye bread - the food was tasty indeed, some might think a little pricey for the atmosphere but we really enjoyed the intimacy of this classic Northwood's Pub/Bar/ Restaurant. Since it's so convenient to Hwy 51, Hwy 70E (right across from the Plantation and Kwik Trip) , Minocqua, Arbor Vitae, Woodruff - I think this place often gets overlooked as you speed by towards Manitowish Waters and Boulder Junction - I know that's what happened to us. We'll definitely be back to give the outdoor area visit - instead of zooming by on Hwy 51, stop in and visit Preuss's for a visit - I think you'll enjoy the hospitality
