Capitol Cafe - Minneapolis - Photo album

Excellent chaos and wonderfully delicious with lots of care (brings memories of Egypt back) 🀌🏻 I got their Somali chicken shawarma with malawax (crepe) along with a cocktail juice. Wait was a bit long (20 min) but completely worth it. Definitely a good one to go to if you aren’t in a rush and want
I have been here several times for Somali tea, which is amazing! I finally had lunch and it was delicious as well
All around great business, and Black owned, to support. Customer service was lovely from beginning to end. I was given recommendations for pairing with the coffee I ordered. Upon walking in you can smell the wonderful aroma of the medley of foods available. I ordered a Chai Latte and a Caramel La
Ok this is an edit about 3 months after eating here for the first time, and I still think about their chicken shawarma to this day. They use a crepe as the β€œtortilla” (for lack of a better word) and it is heavenly.
It is always better for local business owners to think bigger than just serving their locals. I am from Texas, but formerly from Minneapolis a decade and a half ago. One of the girls working here, I should suggest she be trained to serve customers better. I have been in this business couple of times
Great experience! Everyone was very friendly and kind. The food is delicious, and very reasonably priced as well. I got a couple sambusas, a smoothie, and a piece of cake, which were all yummy. Definitely coming back!
The best minority coffee shop in South Minneapolis! If you are in and around the Twin Cities Minneapolis and St. Paul, don't forget to stop by and ask for a Somali Tea or the best Sambusa!
Customer service was great and very friendly! I tried the chicken shawarma and mediterranean salad. Both tasted very fresh and flavorful. The value and portion sizes are great for sharing, or leftovers. I also loved the Somali tea. Amazing restaurant and people :)
Just went here for the second time tonight and it lived up to the expectations I remember. I got the chicken tandoori with salad, a Somalian tea and an avocado mango smoothie. Everything is delicious. Both the first and this time the owner came out, Scot, and he gave me and my sister free Somalian t
This cafe has the best tuna sandwich and Somali tea in the town. If you are in the Seward neighborhood, please give this place a try. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. The owners are super friendly and the staff know what they are doing. Thumps up for Capitol Cafe and their crewπŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½
I really enjoyed eating the rice and chicken and smoothies and sambusa and they are friendly and clean place.
I had the chicken shawarma and Somali tea for lunch today. Both were excellent. The place was full during the lunch hour (a good sign) and both the staff and customers were friendly. Check it out.
Authentic east African food and beverages. Ask for the Somali tea! There are usually a couple people standing outside chatting, don't let that discourage you. The owner and all the employees I've met so far are super nice and helpful, and if you don't know your way around the menu they are always re
We love Capitol Cafe! The service and owner are awesome. I also LOVE the food! Try the Malawax and Chicken Tandoori. It's also one of my favorite places to get Somali Tea.
My go to spot for Coffee, Somali Tea, and Snacks! My favorites are the coffee latte, malawax, green smoothie and the Tandoori chicken. One of the best Minority owned restaurants in the twin cities. Friendly staff, friendly price and quite place during the morning hours.
Best place to have dinner tanduri chicken

The Capitol CafΓ© is quickly becoming THE place to be and be seen in Seward neighborhood. The owner/manager is very friendly and customer-oriented young man. I love their Samosas, Mandasi (Somali version of puff pastry or brioche), and of course I love their spiced Somali tea and Latte.
