Canteen is one of my favorite coffee spots. It's a spot to relax while you sip on some of the best coffee around. The environment is simple, quiet and relaxing. The staff is amazing! I recommend this place to anyone who likes a good cup of coffee. Can't wait to go back!
Love this place!! Always go there Saturday mornings to enjoy their fresh coffee and delicious toast bar.
It’s a lovely, laidback neighborhood cafe. I happen to find it on Google Map and am so glad I stopped by. Latte and a pumpkin bar with cream cheese frosting were fantastic. Every food item is made by the shop. There is a shaded outdoor area, great for working on your laptop, and a walk-up window on Bryant Ave for a quick grab’n go. I felt the owner is really investing in the quality. Recommended.
I love coming here. Super quiet. Friendly employees. I’m not a fan of the black coffee, but I think it’s my palette and personal preference. I much prefer their lattes and other beverages. I wish they had more food options. I got a roll once which I thought was overpriced for a piece of bread. I just make sure I eat first now before I go.
I’ve been going to Canteen consistently for 5 years—the space is so sunny and great for studying/working, enjoying a quiet morning by yourself, or meeting up with a friend on the patio. Love that it’s woman-owned (the owner is great) and very much a neighborhood spot. Excellent coffee and house-made treats (granola, bars, nut butters/jams). Also appreciate the new addition of the walk-up window.
Stopped by the to go window on my morning walk. Best latte I’ve had in a long time. Possibly the best latte I’ve had in Minneapolis.
This place has a warm and inviting vibe and although sparsely decorated seems to be just right in atmosphere. The coffee here is above average with the strength, roast, and taste being as good as some of the vest in the Twin Cites. Worth a stop.
Good coffee, tasty cappuccinos at a nice shop on a quiet street.
Great coffee, friendly service, terrific outdoor seating in a cozy neighborhood. The back room is spacious and is an ideal (and quiet) working/writing space.
I come here solely for the toast bar which starts at 10am on Saturday and Sunday. You get to choose from an assortment of two slices of artisan bread which you can warm/toast if you want. They have homemade but butters and jam/preserves. I really love their homemade almond butter! It's $6 a person and you can also get a hardboiled egg and half an avacodo included in the price. It's a bummer if they are out of avacado but they will offer you banana as well. Truthfully, the service isn't the best, but it's not bad either. I love and crave their toast on a weekend morning and it keeps bringing me back!
Open bright front area great for meeting up with people and a very large back area with lots of seating perfect for getting things done. Seems like a pretty typical expensive coffee shop. But I’m a big fan when it is easy to park (it is) and when there is plenty of room and isn’t too loud (also checks that one) has a relaxed chill vibe and all the baristas seemed nice. It doesn’t feel overly pretentious which is always a plus.
Nice, friendly neighborhood café. Plentiful indoor and outdoor seating & great music.
