We had our wedding here on July 22, 2017. It was absolutely magical, thanks to the staff at the Lumber Exchange! From beginning to end, they were top notch! A special shout out to Barb, Kenzie, and Makayla for working so hard to make our dream a reality!! They are truly the best!! The food was phenomenal thanks to Chef Jason!! We had so many people come up to us and rave about the food!! The atmosphere/decor was beautiful, and even better than we had envisioned. If you're looking for a wedding venue, look no further than the Lumber Exchange Event Center!!

We had our winter wedding on December 16, 2017 and it was more amazing than we could have dreamed. Our ceremony and reception took place in the breathtaking Fountain Room. It was PERFECT! The space has such a wow factor and everyone loved it. Our experience with the staff was exceptional. We met with Hannah and Julie to set our details and they were so helpful from beginning to end. Chrishy was our concierge for our wedding day and she was also amazing. The staff is so accommodating and on top of every little detail! We would not have done anything differently, our day was outstanding from beginning to end. We highly recommend this venue site for a wedding!

Our wedding at the Lumber Exchange Event center in the Fountain room was stunning and absolutely perfect! We received so many compliments on how gorgeous and unique our wedding venue was. In addition to the appearance, the food was fantastic and the staff was attentive and incrediblely helpful. I would highly recommend the Lumber Exchange event center to anyone with an upcoming wedding!

My wife and I got married in the Fountain Room last December, and it was an absolutely perfect venue for our big day. The entire staff - particularly Makayla, Chris, and Barb were extremely helpful throughout the entire process. The space is absolutely gorgeous and the entire event was executed well beyond our wildest expectations. My groomsmen and I had a blast in the Groom's suite, and I know my wife and her bridesmaids loved the Bridal suite. I can't recommend the Lumber Exchange enough. They made our day truly special.

This was the first time that I had worked with the Lumber Exchange. Being the photographer of the wedding, I am typically forgotten and served last, which is fine. But the staff at the Lumber Exchange went out of their way to make sure my assistant and I not only ate, but fed us at the time that was great so that we were able to photograph our couple so that we were serving them better! The event staff was helpful and knowledgeable in sending us to all the right locations of the building and made sure our couple was served well. It was great to be able to work together as a team to serve our couple for the day. If you are looking for a space that will be incredible to be photographed in (the light is phenomenal in this building for photographs at any time of the year), a helpful staff, good food and drink, areas in Minneapolis to utilize for photos, the Lumber Exchange is definitely a place you should check out!

The venue was remodeled between booking and holding our wedding – so it was even more stunning! The building/venue is beautiful, historical, and elegant, but it’s a must see in person. Our experience with the staff, specifically Barb and Tom, was phenomenal! This was the first venue we toured, and we did not know what to anticipate. We hosted a cocktail reception, and a suggestion from Barb on that first day on how to host such an event was one of the reasons we booked the venue. Her creativity, along with her staff, is even more astounding than the venue. We believe its what made the wedding so perfect. In addition, every single vendor we chose came as a recommendation from Barb after we were unsatisfied searching on our own. Our guests could not stop raving about the food which was the in-house chef – everyone had a favorite, and no one hated anything! The staff were kind and attentive all night, I wish I knew all their names to thank them individually. You all were outstanding! Lastly, the event was so great, not only we not want it to end, but our guests didn’t either. So to everyone at The Fountain Room – thank you for helping us throw a wedding where no one wanted to leave!

I had my wedding at the lumber exchange in March of this year and everything went perfectly! We met with our coordinator a couple weeks before the wedding to finalize all the details. They have a great questionnaire that covers all the details that I didn't even think of (and I am super detailed) so it was so nice to go over that. On the big day, the only question that came up was if we wanted to add more wine and beer to the bar. Otherwise, I couldn't have asked for a more smooth day! Thank you LX for make everything go smoothly!

I had my wedding at the Fountain Room May 16th. Between the amazing space and the staff that literally took care of everything, my day was perfect! Anyone looking for a space that can accommodate a small, or like my wedding, a large group this is the place! The hard lines of the brick and skyway mixed with the soft fountain was amazing! I can't thank Barb and her entire team enough! Absolutely perfect!

We had our wedding in the Fountain Room this past July, and we were blown away by the service and flexibility of the entire staff. From the very beginning when we first toured, we were living out of state at the time, and Barb and her team went above and beyond to help us plan our perfect day. From the coordinators, to the chef, to the bartenders, our day went off without a hitch, and not to mention the venue space is a dream that already has such beautiful character, but is open enough that you can make the space your own. Our guests kept commenting about how beautiful the space was, how friendly and accommodating the staff was, and how delicious and hot (temp) the food was. Everything you want to hear from your guests we heard! Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything!!

From the moment we stepped into the building on our first tour, we knew this was the place we were going to get married, and I am so glad we did! Lumber Exchange was a fantastic venue! We got married in the Fountain Room on 10/7/23 and we are still getting compliments on how gorgeous it was from friends and family. From our very first online inquiry until the very end, we worked with Hannah P. and she was the best! She answered every question we had no matter how big or small, and was so accommodating to every request - not to mention she was so easy to connect with over email or phone. The planning emails they send out make the planning process feel so much less daunting and even kind of fun - I always looked forward to what my next planning tasks would be. The day of staff on the wedding day were fabulous as well, and made the day feel so effortless. My only one small negative, which is not even the venues fault, was that on the night of the rehearsal, the music from the Pourhouse bar inside the venue was very loud as we were trying to do mingle, do toasts, etc. This was something I did not anticipate, however the staff at LX were able to quickly get us a microphone no questions asked. Again, more of something we just didn't anticipate vs the venues fault. We would recommend them over and over - it was truly the best day! ◡̈

We had a pretty incredible experience at the Lumber Exchange for 2 days worth of all employee meetings, a charitable initiative, and a company picnic! Ahead of time, Will was a great event coordinator, willing to meet with me and my team on multiple occasions so we felt ready for our big event! We had a couple concerns on the 1st day of our event (temperature of the room and timing of food set-up) but the team on-site both days worked really hard to correct any concerns and made sure Day 2 was smooth and cooler! Overall, we had an incredible experience at the Lumber Exchange... making 150+ people smile for 2 full days in such a beautiful space!

We were able to book Sawyer's on 5th for our wedding and we are so happy we did. Hannah was amazing at communicating with us so that we could have the wedding we wanted and stick within budget. All our guests thought it was a really neat venue as well!!

We were lucky enough to work with the Lumber Exchange for our wedding. They were reasonably priced and we liked that we did not need to get extra vendors for rentals because tables, linens, and food/drinks were all at the venue. It made planning very easy! Hannah helped leading up to the day and she was so incredible and responsive to work with. The day of the event and the night before, we worked with Tyler and he was amazing. The bar staff was so friendly and fun on the night of our wedding-we could not have asked for a better experience. We got so many compliments on the venue aesthetic. We were close enough to travel towards St. Anthony Main to get photos, but with how iconic and beautiful the venue is, you would not need to. With it being a November wedding, we were able to highlight the space with candles and the ambiance was all that I could ask for and more. Overall, such a great experience. The other plus is that we had two hotels within walking distance so we did not need to pay for transportation to and from a venue! Cannot speak highly enough about the Lumber Exchange.

The Lumber Exchange Event Center hosted our wedding and my wife and I had an amazing experience. From the very beginning, when we toured the venue to make our decision, all the way through to our wedding day, LX staff were on top of everything and were super helpful. Our event coordinator, Will, did a wonderful job and was always quick to respond to any question or concerns we had in the planning process. It was organized and easy to keep track of things in the event portal. All the contracts, notes, venue details, were organized there and easy to find. Our day of event specialists, Dan and Jordan, were on top of overseeing the whole day and making sure everything ran smoothly. They were on the ball and seemed to be everywhere all at once. We could not have been taken care of any better on our wedding day! If you are recently engaged, and need to find a quality venue around the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro, look no further!

We chose the Lumber Exchange because of the size of the space and the flexibility they gave us! We loved Will and his monthly emails made the entire planning process so much easier. They were super flexible in order to give us the exact timeline we wanted! They let us do many walkthroughs with out of town family and to help plan. The day of was spectacular. The bridal suite was the perfect place to hang out and get ready. The space looked stunning with the flowers and lights and everything was set up with plenty of time. The only note that we didn’t realize was that because it was Halloween weekend there was pretty loud club music that you could hear through the floor including during the ceremony. Just something to be aware of if it’s a holiday weekend especially! Jordan was awesome the day of though, everything ran smoothly and many people asked about our venue and commented on how amazing it was! 10/10 would recommend!!

When we booked with the Lumber Exchange, we knew it would be a perfect fit. Little did we know that booking with this exact venue would be what turned our day into a dream. The venue itself is black and female owned, and absolutely breathtaking. The food was delicious with tons of options. The bridal and grooms suites were great spaces for getting ready and photos. But honestly, the people are what made our experience so perfect. Will was our coordinator and made the process incredibly smooth. He was so communicative, flexible, understanding and truly made us feel like we were the only people he was working with. HE is why we will continue to rave about our day and this venue. Tyler and Jared were there on the day of our wedding and went above and beyond as well. Overall, the Lumber Exchange is everything we could have asked for and we are so grateful to have shared our day with our favorite people in such a beautiful, historical place.

We could not have had a better experience working with Hannah and the rest of the Lumber Exchange events team! From start to finish, Hannah did not miss a beat. She was very prompt on replying to my emails and made sure that every detail of my event was clear and concise. She made our whole event experience stress-free and met all my expectations and beyond. It was seriously the perfect place to host my baby shower. Definitely would recommend it for anyone looking for a space that can fit 50-60 people comfortably!

Our company threw a massive party at the Lumber Exchange, renting out the 3rd floor and Pourhouse. It was a nearly year-long process, and we were beyond thrilled. Hannah and Barbara worked with us to ensure every last detail was perfect -- It was especially beneficial to have their expert advice while planning from out of state.The day of staff was terrific as well. The entire team was professional and had a fabulous vibe -- really made the party. Thank you to the entire team. Amazing!

After looking at several venues we chose the lumber exchange for our wedding. Our account executive Hannah was great, she made the process as simple and fun for us as possible. The whole team did a great job on our special day and helped make it a wonderful night. The atmosphere in the fountain room is incredible and the marble staircase is perfect for pictures. It’s truly a beautiful venue and we are so glad we went with it!
