Paul was a great server! The food was great, atmosphere was great, and desert well prepared. It was our 26th anniversary and we really enjoyed our time!! 👍👍👍👍👍
We had a group of 6, all with different food interests. Our server was Peter who couldn't have been better. He provided great information, excellent recommendations and made our group feel like royalty. The food was great and the environment brought it all together! Ask for Peter's section when you go.
We’ve enjoyed brunch, dinner, and just appetizers here over the years in conjunction with attending performances at The Guthrie Theater. Actually, once we can another time just for the food. If you want truly five-star food and service, The Sea Change restaurant doesn’t disappoint. It’s “sustainable seafood” and raw bar have served us both super fresh and unique dishes each time.
For anyone living in the Twin Cities and wanting exceptional dining with fish as the featured dishes, or are visiting here, the Sea Change experience is worth the added price! We don’t think that exceptional food and service should be at comparable prices for typical dishes. The creativity of the chef and staff merits a special outing and tipping them too.
We’ve had the same server more than once, and really found her most pleasant and helpful.
I recommend trying the tuna tartare, oysters, and mussels if you are between appealing entrée options. The staff gave us suggestions as to accompanying drinks and we found their advice was right on.
We give Chef Tim McKee and Culinaire high praise for the atmosphere and how this restaurant stands out for serving both the local community and out-of-town visitors who are looking for something unique and well-executed.
For cocktails both Toes in the Sand and Snow Cone are terrific orange infused beverages. On one cold frost day in particular, they served up some of the best hot chocolates we’ve had.
Parking is no problem and we love dining by its huge and beautiful windows. We’ve brought guests 3x and each party really enjoyed the experience and expressed their appreciation. We want to return now that the Guthrie has resumed performances!
We had an excellent brunch before a Sunday afternoon performance at The Guthrie Theater. The brunch was reasonably priced for the five-star food and service we received. Bottomless mimosas were $10 and were NOT made with bargain champagne. I'm glad we finally had our first Sea Change experience!
Went on a Friday afternoon for lunch. Limited menu. Got the tuna tartar, roasted butternut squash soup and the crab salad. Also got the giggle water cocktail which was unique and memorable.
Some of the best seafood I’ve had and I’m surprised I found it in Minneapolis. Make sure you try the grilled octopus. You won’t be sorry. Ok, maybe you will but only because you can’t have it every night.
Fantastic restaurant whether you're going to the Guthrie or not, this is a destination all on it's own. Could do with some more dairy-free items but amazing selection of oysters! Service could be improved (you know brunch and pre-show is going to be busy but customers are here for an experience and not wanting to feel the rushed pace from the waitstaff) but again, the food is awesome. Beautiful space and nice you can bring drinks over into the theatre. Cute gift shop between the restaurant and Guthrie. Great brunch spot in the winter or when you need to escape the heat while visiting the Mill City Farmers Market.
I visited for lunch for the first time. The fish and chips was delicious. The service was great, and the atmosphere was great. I will be back.
My family and I had brunch at Sea Change before seeing the production West Side story this past weekend. The service was excellent! Some restaurants you may observe servers and wait staff on their phones or in corners chatting, this was not the case. If there wasn't plates to clear you saw the staff staying busy, their attitudes proved that they took pride and enjoyed their jobs. The food was unbelievable! My grandpa is on a special diet, the server and kitchen were so helpful in aiding him with options for his meal. I had the pastrami sandwich, and it was the best I have ever had! The fries were so fresh and seasoned perfectly! Can't wait to join them for dinner in the future!
Excellent service and great food! Great location to eat before a show at the Guthrie!
Gorgeous space. Great wine selection. Friendly bar staff. I have not eaten dinner here yet, but their drinks and space are wonderful. Great location too. They are casual, but note they are a tad fancier than your average restaurant.
Nice spot for a drink. We've had dinner here a few times and have generally been pleased. The seafood has been good, and I've been impressed by the quality of their oysters. It's obviously a nice option for before or after the Guthrie.
