We had a large group reservation for a very busy Wednesday evening. Everything we ordered was delicious and cooked to perfection. The service blows every restaurant I’ve been to out of the water. There is a reason Jax Cafe has been around for nearly 100 years. They have truly perfected their craft and it shows. The price you pay for delicious food and quality service in a way that you can’t find anywhere else.
My boyfriend and I ordered the artichoke dip for an appetizer, which was scrumptious. I ordered the Filet Mignon, with sautéed onions and mashed potatoes. Steak was cooked to my liking and was very tender. My boyfriend ordered the prime rib that looked divine. Finally, even though our waist bands protested, we indulged in a lemon curd dessert. The waiter even offered to take our party outside and take our photos.
We had a phenomenal time at Jax Cafe. I would stand to recommend them to anyone, even if it seems expensive. It is truly worth the splurge!

Had a holiday lunch with friends. I had por pie and it seemed smaller. I ate the whole thing and yats unusual for me. Very tasty though. Service was great!! Drinks were good too. I had some special requests and those were taken care of. This is a lovely place to go.

A shout out to Jax! I hosted 25 family members there before a show downtown last night. From the reservation process to the end of our time there, every aspect was executed impeccably! I cannot express how much I appreciated the passionate attention to detail, and exceptional service. Thank you Cyndy and Stephen for taking such good care of us. This is why we keep coming back! Jax is like no other a NE icon. If you haven’t been there, go and experience it!

We celebrated our 50 wedding anniversary with family and friends. The staff was friendly and very attending to our needs
The food was excellent well done and ample servings. The dessert 🍨 tray was to die for. They made books of matches with our name and date of anniversary for everyone to have.

A great brunch! My first time eating beignets, wow! And an unexpected anniversary acknowledgement. Thanks!

Enjoyed one of last warm days of the season in Jax courtyard. They had the heaters on, and it was decorated for fall with mums and pumpkins along the trout stream. A fine Friday lunch. We had a prime rib sandwich with mushrooms, onion and horseradish sauce on a pumpernickel roll, lobster roll, fresh walleye. The soups were excellent. It's pricey, but the classic American food and service is impeccable.

Only complaint was we came for the patio and it was closed for a private event. Which we wanted to try the happy hour menu.
We ended up spending a lot on dinner but it was really good and loved the drinks as well. Can’t wait to try the patio sometime. ❤️

Reserved a table for my mother's birthday. They treated her like a queen! Overall great experience.

Lovely atmosphere both inside and out on the patio. Servers and hosts were very attentive and friendly. Loved the live piano music too.
