The place is so cute and the employees were wonderful! So glad we found this little diner ❤️ I got one of the specials for mothers day, Belgium waffles with fresh fruit, and omg was it the most amazing waffles I've ever had! Will definitely be back over and over again!

Great food. Burgers were delicious. You've got to try the King Kong burger! Service was great for our party. Casual dining environment.

It's got a classic little hometown feel. This was the first time going there but, it felt like my favorite place in my hometown. Was the food the greatest, no but, the vibes were worth it.

Classic diner done well. Good, fresh food cooked just right (fresh-cut fries, burger cooked medium). Friendly, helpful staff. Looks a little boring from the outside, but bright and fun inside.

Second Visit Update: The diner was still spotless. This trip, I had the Honey Bourbon Glazed Burger. It held par with the Heaven on a Bun Burger. Delicious blend with the sauce, onion strings and a very meaty burger. Our server was friendly and attentive. We'll be back in about a month =) ----------------------------------------------------- We made our monthly road trip from Columbus and chose the Classic 57 Diner as our destination. We weren't disappointed in the choice. Walking in, we saw several interesting 50's style decorations that were well cared for. For being there a long time, it didn't have that "old diner" greasy smell. Not that the smell is a bad thing, but it was unexpected for it not to be there. Entering the main diner, there were many more period piece decorations. I noticed immediately how clean the dining room is kept. It gave me an initial feeling of how much the owner cares about the place. It's self-seating, so the wife and I made ourselves at home. There was a party of 10 and six or seven other tables of folks, as well. By the time we left, the main dining room was at least 80% full. Our server, to whom I apologize for not getting her name, was there inside of 30 seconds for our drink order. First mention...I drink unsweetened tea. I can tell you how old it is on the first sip and I'm rarely wrong. This tea was fresh and crisp. After a long look at the menu, I settled on the "Heaven on a Bun" burger with gravy fries. If you're from northeastern Ohio, you know what these are and you miss them when your not home. My wife got the "Wallmounter" fish sandwich with Fair Fries. They weren't kidding, these were perfectly flavored fair fries, just without the smell of animal barns and screaming kids. A bit of malt vinegar made a perfect condiment. Our sandwiches arrived to no small amount of surprise from us. The wallmounter fish sandwich was huge. There were three pieces of fish on a half of a soft italian-style bread loaf. One was the length of the bun, while the other two pieces filled in the rest of the space. The fish in the sandwich was firm and tasty with a very crunchy batter. She ate the two smaller pieces on the sandwich and brought the large one home for a late night snack. My burger was a half-pound of tightly packed, well-grilled beef. This was the first time I'd ever had pineapple on a burger...and it won't be the last. The whole thing was covered in caramelized onions, pineapple and gouda cheese. As juicy as everything was, the bun held up and didn't get all mushy (big plus). With the gravy fries along side, it was well worth the road trip. The Minerva Classic 57 Diner is an iconic diner with great food, service and a smile from everyone in the place. Lastly, I was pleasantly surprised to see a sign in the window welcoming folks who have their concealed carry permit, thanking them for the extra security. Living in Columbus, you won't see m(any) signs like this one. Seeing someone who appreciates good people is heartwarming. To the owners, Greg and Diane Smith, keep up the good work. Your diner will now be in our repeat destination list. I look forward to coming back.
