Hale's served me one of the best breakfasts I've ever had in a restaurant. Ordered corned beef hash, stuffed hash browns and rye toast, all of which was absolutely fantastic. The hash was just the right crisp on the outside without being overdone and was very flavorful. The stuffed hash browns put those of other places serving them to complete shame, and the rye toast wasn't burnt as it usually is by some chains and served with a delicious spread. The eggs served with the meal were fluffy and perfectly cooked. I've had better coffee, but for just under 3 dollars to keep your cup full throughout your meal, I'm not complaining. The restaurant itself offers a friendly, homey atmosphere with staff who know what they're doing and who maintain their friendly demeanor well. The place is well kept, clean and bright. I would highly, highly recommend this place to anybody in the area looking for a delicious, hearty breakfast or brunch for a reasonable price. Their menu is very extensive as well for all times of day without being too overwhelming, and they offer many other items I would surely like to try in the future! Thank you, Hale's, for such a wonderful experience!

Are they busy? Heck yeah, and for a good reason. The food is amazing! The french toast was perfect, the omelet was filled with cheese and meat, the only thing was the pancakes looked a little over cooked but my wife still loved them. The service was quick, don't let a line at the door deter you. I don't think you should expect to come here and sit around for a few hours, this place likes to turn tables so that others don't have to wait long. All in all I love this place, there is also a location in Hillsboro if your out that way, its a lot bigger.

Excellent service even with only one gal working. Delicious food!!! Love their benedicts and omelets. Also they serve mimosas yum. My sister loves their bacon waffles!!! Great breakfast place for sure. This is our go to place for brunches. Either location !!

My grandmother has always loved this place. She's 82 and has probably been coming here since they started. Yet, never been here with her. I decided to check it out on my own today. I felt like there's a good chance she knew would know at least one of the customers here..lots of seniors:) which makes for a pretty calm atmosphere. I ordered their bacon and eggs (sunny side up) that came with bacon hash browns and toast. I added a side of regular waffles. Everything was what it should've been! Maybe 4-5 strips of thick bacon, eggs were....well, better than most places. Proper sunny side up isn't easy, but these were good. Waffles were pretty darn good! I shouldn't have covered them in syrup from the start. They were perfectly crispy and fluffy inside. Became soggy after sitting in syrup (my fault!). Hash browns were good. I like mine a bit more crispy, but again, these were still great. Quantity was definitely not light, but not over the top. Most would be satisfied I think. Nice calm casual place with food done right. Definitely worth a return visit. Next time, with my grandmother:)

Classic feeling restaurant with a treasure trove of options. We came for breakfast and saw a big line but were seated in ten minutes and received our food just as fast. Loved my Swedish pancakes and will be back to try their other options.

Came here with friends on a visit to Portland. Food was excellent, nice fresh veggies in my omelette, and excellent pancakes! Very light and very flavorful. Service was great too. Would definitely return.

We LOVE Hales. Everyone is so friendly and make you feel welcome. The food is so delicious. I've never seen a restaurant where ALL the staff help each other and clean the tables so quickly. But you never feel rushed. This is our favorite restaurant.

This country girl likes her food and Hales did not disappoint. Our waitress was knowledgeable on the menu and our food came quickly, even for as busy as it was. With great prices the plates were loaded too!

Hales is the best breakfast place that I have been too. It's not a fancy brunch place, it's just a nice place to take your family. Or just yourself. They have the most amazing food, with wonderful and polite staff. Love to eat there
