Food was made to order and very good. I would recommend it just on the food alone but add the mission of training veterans this place is a definite 5 out out 5 stars.
Having been the maint. person for the building they are in as well as the cafe, I can say without a doubt that the food ,as well as the staff is awesome!! Chef Greg and his crew are the greatest!!
I ordered lunch for myself and my three kids. This is gotta be the first time I ordered from a place for the first time and was actually very satisfied. My kids demolished their food. My oldest son even asked me if I was gonna finish mine because he wanted it. My kids are very pleased. And they're hard to please with food. Will be back again very soon.
My husband and I ate here when first moved here in 2017 and the food was great and the workers all ex military were so nice. Today I'm not feel to well so my husband is on his way to buy us a couple of big boot burgers here on Veterans day 2020.

Great food and great service. I made a request to have our lunch ready when we arrived since there was 5 of us and they were great at handling this. I would highly recommend checking out! We have also had catering thru them!
In association with Troop Cafe I bring you Rise and Shine Food Bus. I was at the Froedtert North Hills Center here in Menomonee Falls and I started to see the medical staff walking out in one direction and coming back with carry out boxes. Of course nosey me wondered were they were all going. So they told me about Rise and Shine Food Bus and boy wasi surprised at the quality of the entire burger. The brioche bun was toasted just right the burger was favored well and super cheesy and juicy with caramelized onions grilled. Yum! Head Chef Derek Smalls is an honorable man with a warm spirit on top of serving Great food to our veterans and the local community, he has a wonderful staff as well that makes you feel welcomed each time you enter. If i could recommend anything off the menu it would be the cruise missile chicken sandwhich you can tell its made fresh and the cookie that comes with the combo is always moist and chewy :) Great Job Troopers!

"Its a winner" ....and, a great place to meet up with others. It's central location just off I-94 and Wisconsin Ave....the atmosphere is more like down town, than the west end of the ave.
I will be back. I've adopted a new friend. A cozy little space where I'd be proud to bring friends. The staff was courteous, kind and polite...the Cole Slaw was fresh, crisp, and lively...It was a real surprise on the West side...
I'm a fan until it gets to be known and the lines get so long.... then I'll drive past and go home...until then I might see you there...

The best quiet Milwaukee secret. The best customer service I have ever experienced. The delicious food is served with a big warm smile.
Proceeds from the veterans troop cafe go to all the veterans I help them find jobs a boot burger salad bar i there today they went from a 20oz out the coffee to have 12 oz for the same price I like the old staff they had it troop Cafe hope they read this review . And the other manager actually had the salad bar out there.
Food was grate, service was efficient the place was welcoming and cozy and the fact they donate to the veterans put this spot at one of the top 10 in Milwaukee 🍾🔥
Awesome lunch spot! Greeted with a smile and burger was great! The veteran theme is fantastic as well!
