Any time I get to have a full Irish Fry or Ulster Fry, I'm going to get it. Yes you wait forever, yes you wait for drinks, yes you wait for a bill, yes this is almost a one man kitchen, yes the atmosphere is fantastic, yes you can watch the game, yes the background irish music was suttle and fun, but NO way will the food disappoint. I missed the Tatty Farl but the fried potatoes were great. The whole plate of food was great!
Whenever we can we get a group together for Sunday brunch. Packy’s traditional Irish breakfast is the best this side of Tipperary. Packy cuts no corners when it comes to putting together all of the traditional ingredients to come up with an excellent bill of fare. Packy’s Irish breakfast is as good as any I have had while traveling in Ireland (and better than some).
Great food. The staff is friendly and fun. I recommend stopping in and checking it out if you want some good, down home Irish food.
Excellent Irish Brekkie on Saturdays and Sundays until noon. Great pours of Guinness. Stupendous wings.
My group happened to stop in the day of their Christmas Holiday party. It was quite festive. The staff was very friendly even though the bar was packed. Guinness on tap the correct way. Definitely want to come back to see what a normal night is like as well.
Always a good time with a local atmosphere and friendly welcoming staff. Bartenders Vicki and Ron make this a repeat stop. Sometimes you catch the owner, who genuinely shows appreciation for his patrons and friends. I'd recommend it. Added bonus, the patio is great hidden from traffic and perfect for summer evening drinks.
Just wanted to see this place after watching Bar Rescue. Everyone and Everything was very good. I just wanted to mention to Guppy, the bartender on the show, that a guppy IS NOT bigger than a minnow!!! So sorry Gup! But I still love you ♥️
Had a great time at Campbell's (formerly Packy's) especially when Darwin came over to our table to say hi! A lovely, giant bull mastiff with a sweet temperament and wagging tail, with an equally friendly owner. Our group of seven enjoyed fast, friendly service, met the owner (Packy) who served us himself with a joke and a smile. Free baskets of serve-yourself popcorn was at hand, our drinks were great, the food was super tasty (although us vegans could only have the popcorn, which we were fine with since we could have as much as we wanted) and it happened to be Trivia Night in the next room over. The decor is updated and pleasant (my photos look darker in there than it really was) and everyone had a grand old time. I'm looking forward to going back with my friends. Reviewed on 12/29/2018
I was born in Milwaukee and I just watched the bar rescue episode. The owner seems like a genuine hard working guy that just needed some direction to get his business back on track. Next time I am in the city I will 100% be stopping here. I am so proud of this guy and his staff for turning this bar around and making my beautiful city proud. Congrats!
The owner is the nicest and always makes my food just the way I want it. Good beer. Fun atmosphere. Wings are the best around. The Irish stew is amazing.
A dive bar for locals disguised as a Irish pub. Wait staff are wonderful, but the barflies are pretty insular. Guinness was perfectly poured. Will try the food next time (visit too short to get a final opinion).
Mate, I’ve just now seen the episode of bar rescue that featured your bar. Looks amazing on the show and I’m glad to see y’all are still open. I’d say I’d stop by sometime but I’d be lying, I’m on the opposite side of the coast. Best of luck tho.
