Black Sheep is quickly becoming my favorite brunch spot in the city. Great bloody Mary’s and table service mimosas. The food is always well prepared and the staff is very attentive and accommodating, even with large groups of people. If you go for brunch, I high recommend the pankcake battered fried cheese curds.
We hosted a surprise anniversary party earlier in the month. Took place in the Cellar and turned out amazing despite the good ol' Wisconsin weather! So many thanks to all the staff and the owners for making this a memorable evening and just being so easy to work with. Highly recommend and reference your venue to those seeking a great place to throw any kind of party. I will definitely keep Black Sheep in mind for future events. Thanks again!
Delicious!!!!
In all of my travels, I’ve never had pancake battered cheese curds dusted with powdered sugar served with maple syrup.
Decadent yes…worth it…absolutely!!!
I’ve had my fair share of truffle fries and their version is excellent. Black Sheep Burger and Nashville Honey Hot Chicken were also very tasty.
Service was excellent, prompt and welcoming. Clean with stylish decorations. Seating is plentiful and adequately spaced to have private conversations.
Recommended with enthusiasm. Will definitely be back!!!
There was a lot to like about Black Sheep. It was our first time here. We had made a reservation and got right in. Got seated by the window, at a high top table. The room was noisy and took extra effort to hear each other. (not horrible) Had terrific service for the entire meal (thanks Riley). Beverages were a mix of wine and cocktails, which were both good.
The food was good but not great. Started with the Brussel Sprout appetizer, which was one of the best that we've had. The entrees were a burger (cooked perfectly to medium rare) and the Pork Shank. Food came out well presented and hot. The gluten bun was either very dry or stale. It pretty much fell apart. The burger itself was good. The pork shank was good, but also a bit dry or maybe overcooked (two days of leftovers were very good) .
Ended the meal with flourless chocolate. It was also good, but prefer it to be more dense and less cake like.
Overall it was a good meal and experience. But we didn't put it on our "must go back" list.
Nice service. There are inside/outside tables. The Brussel sprout appetizer was good with a Caesar spin. Risotto was good. Fish fry a large portion. Street parking. Have a Milwaukee city tin coaster? Can be used here!
Nice brunch and cocktail spot located in a charming historic building in Walker's Point. The food tasted good and I liked the overall nonchalant ambience, but the place appears to be understaffed.
Well we found them. Best cheese curds. Pancake battered with syrup. Sweet and salty! Good mimosa. Nora was a great server!
Great little spot if your in Milwaukee! I got Chicken and waffles and washed it down with a spicy Bloody Mary 😉
This place is amazing! The food is insanely good! The cheese curds might be the best cheese curds I've ever had! The service is really great! The food came out very fast and the servers where very friendly! Highly recommend Black Sheep MKE!
Adriana was a phenomenal waitress I was skeptical after my whitewater location experience. You can also find that review on my profile. However, my brunch here was night and day and it was very affordable. I'm full, the food portion is great for the area, and yes I printed the bill for proof. The music was amazing and they had a bubble blower creating a great atmosphere. I would give you a five-star if you elevated the menu and offered more unique brunch menu items! WE LOVED IT! Didn’t even need to use the service button because THAT was five stars! Don’t get me started on the non-binary bathrooms! That made give y’all 4 stars THANKYOU!
Delicious food and drinks! Stellar service!
This was our second time visiting Black Sheep MKE. This time around we decided to have dinner and not just drinks. The service staff was friendly and courteous, our server was very attentive to our needs and requests. Food is delicious, there wasn’t a single thing I would change from our meals. 5/5 recommend this place for date night, friendly hangout or just for drinks!
Hands down one of thee best brunch places in the MKE area. No need to wait 45 minutes across the street when this gem is here. We frequent here for brunch on Sundays and have yet to be dissatisfied. The wait staff is always friendly and super fun to talk to if you sit at the bar! I although we do love sitting in the patio since it’s dog friendly. I love getting the breakfast poutine and always get at least one Lunchbox shot when here. If you really wanna have a great Sunday, try the Black Sabbath.
