Delicious food in a unique atmosphere. You are surrounded by historical architecture and fixtures. I had one of her best burgers I have had to date! Plus-- It is just a quick walk across the street from the Hilton airport properties!
Stopped in and had a great time. The building is very cool. Owner was extremely helpful in explaining the building which is still heated by a firewood boiler. I totally loved the cash register so I snapped it for you. Let me know what you think!
Interesting old building with plenty of wood and pressed tin accents. Comfortable atmosphere.
Perch fish fry was plenty to eat, had nice flavor and the breading was not too thick. Although they no longer have potato pancakes, the French fries are either plain crinkle-cut or straight sour cream & chives. Beer selection was good, too.
About a mile from the airport and walking distance to a few hotels. This bar has an excellent beer selection which rotates about once a month. It has an old time look and feel. The staff was attentive and the food was decent and priced well. I would absolutely go here again.
Dark & cozy, with tons of antique decor lovingly curated by the owner. Went for Friday Fish Fry & wasn't expecting much. Very pleasantly surprised - Perch fried up nicely, good potato pancakes, great craft beers on tap. Weird location & doesn't look like much from outside, but steeped in history. Interesting place with good food & drink.
Good prices, and a unique atmosphere. If you get a chance to look at the knickknacks on the wall, you should do so. Several are beautiful antiques, which when taken with all the elaborate woodwork, lend this bar a cool retro vibe.
I didn't have an opportunity to try the food, but the bartenders are quick and friendly, with a beer running around $4. Many choices on tap so you should definitely find something you enjoy. If you're from out of town, try the Spotted Cow. It's a Wisconsin favorite.
Imagine a bar that is straight out of the 1850s. Old press button tills, phenomenal wood work, excellent selection of beer and liquor, the old iron work and Brass work reminiscent of an old Wild West Saloon, reasonable prices, and a friendly knowledgeable staff to top it all off. A quiet joint readily available for an easy drink. Kind of tucked out of the way, busy, but not busy enough that you are neglected.
They need better lighting but food very good. We all had different fish meals, all tasted fresh. Good salads, fresh , variety of veggies in salad. They should put them on a salad plate and they wouldn't have to be so big, spread it out, easier to pour dressing evenly. One party had potato pancakes, tasted very homemade wish I had them, they looked like the ones my mom use to make. Staff friendly.
Extremely unique bar with original architecture. I highly recommend stopping in a cooler even since there's no AC. The bartender is outstanding. But with average food menu, I recommend just one time look see for drinks.
This is one of my favorite places to grab after work drinks and dinner with coworkers. The staff is friendly, their wings are delicious with great sauce options, and I enjoy the atmosphere.
