Not exactly what I was expecting … I figured it would be like a flea market with vendors hawking their wares. No matter. This place is great! There were all types and varieties of cheese and cheesy products. We bought what would fit in the cooler but probably could have enjoyed even more. Wisconsin is truly cheese heaven! The staff was pleasant and helpful. There were about 4 types of cheese squares for tasting. Great location to the restaurants by the water.

Very cool place to check out for cheese. Staff was super friendly and the selection was fantastic. Of course we had to buy some curds and can't wait to taste them. Very much appreciated the tasting samples as well. It certainly helps you get a feel of what you're buying. Worth a stop - recommend!

Love this place! We make sure to visit every time we’re in Milwaukee. The staff are always fantastic and helpful! They have four different cheeses our for free samples and they have a big selection of cheeses. They have a small yellow soft-sided cooler you can get and they will add an ice pack too!

From the traditional cheddar to the traditional cheese curds to the different Nitro Rye Stout this place has at least 1 cheese for you. Have a few selections of meats, crackers and spreads as well. Prices reasonable for the quality. Courteous staff as well as very clean & kept store as well.

Fairly wide selection of cheeses. They even have a chart on how long the cheese will last at room temperature. The area is incredible as it is just down from the river walk and Fiserv Forum with plenty of restaurants nearby. The decor and cheese heads sold in store, let you know you're in Wisconsin.

Who wouldn’t love a store dedicated entirely to cheese? Very well maintained, clean, Kind employees, and the free samples are delicious. They have all kinds of cheeses and you will no doubt be able to find one that you enjoy. Check it out if you’re in downtown Milwaukee, especially if you just saw a Bucks game!

The absolute best cheese store on the earth, with the most scrumptious aged sharp cheddar ever!!! This is my order that got delivered yesterday and it will be enjoyed for weeks and months to come!! Thanks Wisconsin Cheese Mart!!

It's a great place in the cheese capital. Lots of unique, flavorful and interesting cheese. Surrounded by cheese, spread and lots of other souvenir items. They do have lots of cheese tasting samples with tooth pick. I loved the flavors and so many different varieties of cheese. Absolutely loved there fresh cheese curds, tequila hot cheese - it's really hot! Only downside - nobody was on to check in, needs a push on the customer service. Very busy folks.

We were really excited to eat and grab a drink here on a recent trip to Milwaukee. We were 2 out of 3 customers. The bartender brought menus over and when my husband tried to order a beer, she asked if we could wait a few minutes. We weren’t in a hurry...however then I noticed she asked us to wait while she started washing dishes. It was odd. She forgot ice in my old fashioned, which came in the smallest cocktail glass I’d ever seen. I asked her if I could have some ice and she proceeded to fill a pint glass with ice and dump the drink into it, then slosh it with a shaker. NBD, until she decided to try to dump the entire contents of the pint glass back into the small glass. It spilled everywhere down the sides of the glass. She then handed me both glasses and referred to the now 1/4 full pint glass a “sidecar”. 😂 I didn’t even know what to say and just looked at my husband thinking...is this happening? Anyway, we moved on. I ordered a different drink, as the old fashioned was missing bitters. The glass then sat empty for 5-10 minutes while she washed menus. We order food and end up taking it to go as the service wasn’t worth staying for. The food was good, we had the giant pretzel. There were 5 employees to the 3 customers working here and the service, while poor, also took forever. It’s a shame, because the vibe and decor are great!

I had to change my 5 star review to a 2. I used to come on a regular basis from central Illinois to come to the uber tap. My wife and I would both go (please read my old review below). We just came up after over a year without being able to make the trip. What a hot steaming disappointment. The service: Slow - We sat in a relatively empty bar and waited ten minutes for the two bartenders conversations to wrap up so we could get beers and waters. The bartender got me the wrong beer twice. Literally pouring the same wrong beer both times because she was in a conversation about a smelly cheese. Also, we got some food and it was a) not what we ordered and b) super bland. The atmosphere: It was 80 degrees out so the air was off and one door was open... Gross. Everyone was hot. People had sweat coming through their shirts. Also, there was a particularly pungent cheese that was the cause of some funny "eat it for a beer" humor. It started funny and then became disgusting when someone was gagging and trying not to throw up while, what I think was, the manager recorded him eating it. Draw a line man. Gross. It was a good cheese anyway. I missed the part of the menu that let you pick your own cheeses. You can only get the platters now. Bummer. Anyway, we won't be coming back and I'm done telling people to visit The Uber Tap room when they visit Milwaukee. My favorite bar is not what it was. Old and sadly irrelevant review: I planned a special trip for my wife, Annie, and I made some particular arrangements with the staff ahead of time. Leaving out the details, the staff did an incredible job. Mixing that with the wonderful cheeses and great beer selection and I give this spot a 10/5!! I drove 5 hours just for The Uber Tap, and I will do it again!!!

On a recommendation we tried the Uber Tap and did not only enjoy the beers but also the food and even the cheeshop. It was a one stop shop kind of place! The server, Amanda, was extremely professional and attended to every food and beverage need my family (wife and 2 year old) could have constantly checking in to see if we were happy with our food and drink! As "Out of Towners", specifically Californians, we were extremely impressed with Amanda's Wisconsin hospitalilty. Jack, the manager, was also very attentive and helpful answering questions about history related to the taproom! Great experience!

Spending a long weekend gave us the op to do a little research on what was happening, where we wanted to eat and sites we wanted to see. Ubër was on the top of the list after checking out the reviews and photos on Yelp...When in Wisconsin you most eat cheese and this is the place. The location is a combo of taproom and cheese retail which is huge! Staff were very informative and allows us to relax by ensuring us to take our time. They had many beers on tap and provide tasting and flight service. I took advantage of the 4 local flights and settled with a local brew from Lakefront which offers tour everyday and cranking with business. They offer several cheese/meat samplers, grilled cheeses, sausage sandwiches, mac & cheese and other fare. We went with the Wisconsin sampler and it was to die for! 4 chucks of local cheeses, Blue Affinée - creamy double buttermilk blue cheese Eight Year Cheddar - extremely sharp and intense, with a complex flavor and a crunchy texture Gruyere Grand Cru Reserve - rich, creamy with a nutty aroma Merlot Bellavitano - the taste of parmesan, the texture of cheddar, and a rind soaked in merlot, served with wisconsin honeyblue. CHEESE CURDS - Clock Shadow Creamery cheddar cheese curds breaded with a house-made beer batter. Sprinkled with Spice House’s Vulcan Fire Salt. Served with a side or ranch. *From menu Simply amazing a must try!

My husband and I had a great experience at Uber Tap Room! Friendly service from the moment we walked in. The staff treated us so well and taught us a lot about cheese! Delicious cheese boards with a wide variety of beer on tap. We both had grilled cheese sandwiches and they were so flavorful! We highly recommend Uber Tap Room to anyone who likes beer, cheese and good company!

Went in with a buddy before #6 Xavier beat unranked Marquette. The flights of beer were enjoyable & cheese tray was delicious. Probably the best (turkey & bacon) grilled cheese sandwich I've ever had! Atmosphere & staff (Amanda) were great!

Great selection of beer! The bartender was really nice.. We loved that the bar was connected to the Cheese Mart. The music was fire thanks to the playlist of the guy who worked in the Cheese Mart. The food was pretty good. Overall, the experience was top notch!

This was a great stop on my visit to Milwaukee from out of state. I will recommend this place to fellow cheese and beer lovers in the future! I loved the variety of cheese boards available.

First time in the area and happened upon the spot. Service was friendly and quick to give suggestions. The cheese curds were great and of course, the Spotted Cow beer. Recommend when in downtown Milwaukee.

Service unbelievably slow. No greeting what so ever. Had to wait for the bartender to stop drinking her drink to notice us. Then waited for another 15 minutes to place our order, in witch we had to stop her to give it to her. At this point no one is even in here. No apologizing for the wait time either. Got to watch the cook in the back shove chips in her mouth while we waited to speak with anyone who worked there. Good wine. Good cheese. Super expensive for what they give you though. We were so excited about visiting this place. We drove 100 miles out of way just come here and the let down was unreal. All in all go anywhere else..or just the cheese market side.

Stopped at the Uber room this past weekend. The place was crowded but the service was horrible! We sat at the bar for 10 minutes before the bartender even came and gave us a drink. All she did was complain about how tired she was because she worked 60 hours this week. No excuse for service like that. Restrooms also needed some attending too. The garbage cans were all full and the paper towels were on the floor. If something doesn't change I can see this place closing up in the near future.

My son and I stopped in for lunch. I had read that they have the best grilled cheese and they didn’t disappoint. We also got the cheese curds which were just ok. I like that they are attached to the cheese store also. While we waited for service I went exploring next door and it was so cool. I would have given them a 5 but the service was slow. I should say they were really busy and short staffed, not that the servers were slow, just under staffed. A huge convention was in town so they should have been better prepared and staffed up.

I stopped in with my son to experience the selection of beers and cheese plates. It was a wonderful plate and great selection of beers. I was impressed by the friendly service and the food. Slightly higher price but well worth the quality.

One bartender working with two other waiters for a full bar. Try to imagine what that looks like. One guy making drinks as fast as he can and two other people that were either new or not normally working the bar side. Food ordered came out wrong twice. Good people, bad situation, likely poor management. Good cheese. Good beer selection, decent food when it's what you ordered.

Saw them on tv talking about how amazing their cheese curds were. So we had to try! Walked in and no one greeted us, continued to chat amongst themselves. Wandered around as we had no idea where to sit. Walked around until we decided to just sit at the bar. Ordered two orders of cheese curds. Got them quick. Not a huge amount for the price. We get it, we're downtown. But they were cold. Tried to flag over the waitress or bartender for salt, had to walk up to get them.... and they seemed inconvenienced. Was our first time there, and probably, our last time.

Friendly staff,great atmosphere, huge selection of Wisconsin tap beers...a hidden gem...*shhhhh*

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. You can’t go wrong with craft beer and cheese. The craft beer selection is wonderful and they have so many unique types of cheese. Have some beers and try some cheese samples, you will not be disappointed. The staff is amazing. The bartender was friendly and fast. She took the time to talk with us, suggest certain cheeses and local beers. Our plan was to try a bunch of places in downtown Milwaukee, but this place was too good we didn’t leave until we had to go to the airport. My carry on was packed with as much cheese as I could fit in it. The next time I am in Milwaukee I will be back.

The beer selection is fantastic. Plenty of brews that I've never seen before, specializing in Belgians and Belgian-styles. It's my favorite style, so I'm easily convinced. Very, very reasonable prices for the quality, too.

We’ve been here every time we’ve been in Milwaukee, the beer flights and cheese flights are something we crave! It’s a quieter place too which is a bonus! Had some good conversations with some locals and the bar tenders.

I saw Uber Tap Room on "The Travel Channel" a while ago and I decided to check it out while I was in Milwaukee. The food was very good and the staff were very friendly. It was a very unique and great experience visiting there! I would definitely visit again the next time I am in Milwaukee and highly recommend it to others who are looking for a different kind of experience, rather then just going to a common bar.

The food is great. The price is right. The beer is amazing. The staff is friendly and helpful. Who could ask for anything more?

Staff was great.. we had the dancing man and the giant pretzel!! I would recommend for 4 people plus!

I used to live across the street and the service was always good. Went today and there were dirty dishes on the bar, couldn't get water, or beer. Wait staff wouldn't look at you so they didn't have to help. Service was terrible. Get some grown ups to work when you're busy.

We had two different cheese 🧀 boards and the cheese curds that were fabulous as was our server as she identified all the cheeses!

Stopped in for a sandwich and beer before a concert at Turner Hall. Had the pesto turkey sandwich, so good! Hubby had the bacon cheddar brat. He liked it. The kettle chips were unique. Beer was cold and good. I would go back.
