Amazing food, staff is always super friendly! We love driving downtown for breakfast and sitting at the counter! Lemon poppyseed pancakes with blueberry syrup are to die for and let's not forget that HUGE bowl of oatmeal with raisins, brown sugar, and pecans....YUM

Talk about relaxing! Best weekend spot for brunch on a simple, cute, clean, well maintained hidden patio gem. The service is super sweet and easy going. The food is AMAZING! It’s hands down our top 3 spots ALWAYS!
In A Nutshell:
-This restaurant inside The Plaza Hotel is really good.
-I like the retro vibe, the rounded countertop where you can watch your being cooked in the very open kitchen.
-The service is pretty friendly & good too.
-I stopped by for a breakfast, which was super delicious.
-The portions were very generous of eggs, sausage patties & hash browns w/ toast.
-I also ordered a mushroom burger for lunch which mouth-watering good on top of a bed of thin crispy fries.
Overall, I would recommend grabbing a meal or two here if you are staying here as it's convenient & also very good.
Brunch. I ordered biscuits & gravy, and found them to be well made and flavored! The restaurant is quaint, with unique decor and a peaceful environment. Our service was fast and professional, but not friendly. The menu has many interesting options, and I would like to go back to try more of it!
We enjoyed a pleasant brunch this morning that included sitting out back on the patio with just perfect weather. If there was a drawback, it was a few bees harassing us, but that's not to be avoided with eating outdoors in summer. The Reuben eggs Benedict was legit and my colleague enjoyed the Greek chicken scramble or such. Beautiful plating and delicious food and quite reasonable on the wallet. I'll go again when in town!
Do you like teamwork? How about a great meal? Tucked away inside The Plaza, this place offers a warm and friendly breakfast experience to kick off your day. Three staffers effortlessly kept my coffee full and provided an organized table that was just wonderful to receive. Breakfast was capital P perfect so hats off to the grill staff. 🥓 crisped and tasty. Classic eggs Benedict with balanced hollandaise I don't always get to enjoy. Fruit cup instead of hashbrowns today - a great choice given the freshness.
Truly a 10/10 experience. My husband and I ordered the veggie Benedict and Buttermilk Blueberry pancakes and both were delicious! The staff are super courteous and go above and beyond to ensure you’re comfortable and and enjoy your meal. Our wait was not too long but I recommend coming early if possible. We can’t wait to come back next time we are in Wisconsin.
Yum! My husband and I love cafe at the plaza for breakfast. When the weather is nice, the patio is the perfect place to sit. There are plenty of umbrellas for when it’s hot and lots of tables for the gorgeous days!
We started with bloody Mary’s and beer chaser, so you can’t go wrong. We got the lemon poppyseed pancakes, one of my favorites! Careful when ordering they are bigger and more filling than you think, but so good! My husband had the brioche French toast with strawberries that looked so delicious and we got a side of the chive hashbrowns and bacon. All the food was delicious and we took some of it home to enjoy later!
Our waitress was so friendly and even when there was a malfunction with the ordering system, she made sure we got all our food and had everything we wanted. We will be back again!
Prices were typical for downtown Milwaukee $$, but well worth it. Tuna melt and hash Browns, odd combo but worked and was delicious. The bloody Mary's were excellent. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negative was the 40min wait between arriving, being seated and getting our food.
If you like Tom's diner song, this might be the closest to it. The American open kitchen for breakfast & lunch time with the typical coffee you need.
It seems to have a fancier section at the end of the hallway, but I liked the vintage kitchen style more.
The food is American type breakfast with big plates and different types of eggs. The corned beef hash was tasty and plentiful.
The breakfast sandwich was phenomenal and I ate it so quickly! I liked the classic layout and antique decor which made the place feel classic yet cozy.
I enjoyed my meal from Cafe at the Plaza. The wait wasn't too long to be seated. My waiter, took the time to ask how I liked certain foods cooked, and explained how it was prepared by the restaurant to help me make decide what I should order, since I wanted so much.
