DOC's Smokehouse impresses with its culinary delights, particularly the brisket, which stands out for its exceptional tenderness. The back ribs also deserve a special mention, being notably flavorsome. The ambiance of the place adds to the overall experience, reminiscent of a classic diner setting, which many will find appealing and comfortable. It's a spot that successfully blends great food with a relaxed atmosphere, making it a commendable choice for those seeking quality BBQ.

My husband and I have a lot of fond memories at DOC's. The barbeque is always spot-on and they have a variety of delicious sauces to try. Each time we've come, the servers have had outstanding personalities and have made some great recommendations to us. We were bummed that it had to close during COVID but are so glad it's back! I will say, if you aren't already staying at a nearby hotel or are visiting the Wisconsin Center then finding parking in this area can be difficult, especially during an event where most parking lots/garages reflect higher event pricing. Still, it's worth going, and we'll most certainly be back again!

I had such a wonderful time after failing so miserably to chase my better half around the city. The ribs and the sweet potato fries filled the void in my heart, absolving my shame and regret. It was soul cleaning to say the least. I would recommend it for your first and last meal in Chicago or the journey through the upheaval of life.

We were visiting Milwaukee and tried DOC's. We ordered the 2 meat combination platter with pulled pork and brisket. The brisket was very good. You could taste the smoke and it was incredibly moist and tender - exactly how brisket should taste. The pork was also very good but slightly dryer than I prefer, but still a solid pulled pork. We also ordered a side of sausage. It was ok, not as flavorful as I prefer. I had fries and coke slaw as sides. The Cole slaw tasted like it had vinegar in it - I know that is a Cole slaw style, just not my preference. The fries were good. Overall, it was a good meal, I would go back but next time I would only order brisket. That was some good brisket!

Love Doc's. The Texas Fries (Brisket, cheese, sauce,, jalapeños over fries) are awesome. Brisket is always great. Awesome big bar with huge whiskey and beer selection. Great location right next to the convention center.

You must go on a weekend. They sell a $5 Bloody Mary that comes with an Alabama Wing, which is really a BBq rib. Staff was terrific. Our server Nora, was spot on very nice & polite. Food was excellent. The ribs remind me of the kind I make. So I might be impartial. They have 5 different sauces on the table. The spicy is legit, don't go crazy if you're not really into hot stuff. Highly recommend.

This was the third time but second year ordering the Holiday Meal. Last year and this year I ordered the Thanksgiving meal and this year I also ordered the Christmas meal. This year for Thanksgiving I ordered the larger meal that feeds 10-12 people and I had left overs for a week. For Christmas I ordered the smaller meal that feeds 7-9 people and I'm still working on the leftovers 2 days later. The smoked ham and the smoked turkey was perfectly seasoned and was not dry at all which can happen. The sides were perfect as well. String beans, mashed potatoes, stuffing were all cooked to perfection and everyone loved the taste and texture. I'm putting DOCS BBQ on my short list for regular meals during the year so I can get to know their whole menu. I also took the time to talk to the bar tender about the wide arrays of whiskeys. I am really looking forward to testing out the many different whiskeys they offer. I definitely give the Holiday Menu a solid 10/10 and can't wait to get back to try out some more options. The staff are also fantastic. I love DOCs BBQ

Food: 4/5 (solid, lovely bbq!) Service: 5/5 (staff was amazing and works hard for their customers) Atmosphere: 5/5 (very upbeat, focuses on bbq) As you get closer, you can smell the beautiful aroma of smoked goodies coming from DOC's Commerce Smokehouse. What a lovely restaurant! I love the atmosphere, bbq decor, and how the whole restaurant focused on bbq, down to the bathroom. The service was lovely! We had a nice size group, and they didn't get any of our orders wrong, and they worked very hard. The food was amazing! The food was modern and innovative, which shows their appreciation for bbq. Also, the portion sizes are great, no baby food! All in all, DOC's Commerce Smokehouse is a lovely delicious restaurant!

Cool BBQ in Downtown MKE. Enjoyed this visit because the food was delicious, surprisingly so in my opinion. Fast service and fast food delivery - lunch fit comfortably into less than an hour. We arrived just before the lunch rush seemed to begin. I went with the plate instead of a sandwich because the bun described by the waiter seemed far to boring. The plate was delicious though, especially the brisket itself. The choice of 5 sauces was enjoyable, and after a good sampling, I settled on the Original. Also enjoyed the seasoned homemade potato chips, even though they weren't quite as crispy as I like. Just a pleasantly surprising lunch option. Portion was sufficiently large, I took a box home.

Stayed next door at the Springhill and decided to give them a try since it was right there. Surprisingly on a Sunday afternoon there went many people in there. Given it was after a Packers game. Our server was great he gave us options and honest on the food options. The brisket ends were delicious and the sauce was great. Overall a decent place to eat but nothing to brag about. If you are in the area I would recommend.
