Good food, great atmosphere. Cheese curds, salmon sandwich, and fries were awesome. (We split the sandwich meal and still could rest it all.)
The bloody Mary was good, but mostly ice. A few sips and was left with a glass still full of ice.
We had a lovely lunch on the patio here. They sat us right on the corner and we thought it was the perfect spot to people watch. Our service was quick and they were very friendly. The food was good, I felt like my cheese wasn’t really melted all the way through on my grilled cheese. But it was still a good meal and I would definitely return.
This was our first time experience at The Wicked Hop. We went on a Saturday afternoon, and we expected to wait as the outside patio was full. To our surprise, we were seated right away.
The atmosphere was very trendy, but I didn't feel out of place.
The staff was very friendly and greeted us right as we walked in. After looking over the menu, the server recommended trying an appetizer, so we tried the donuts called "I Dream of Donuts." Unfortunately, we didn't have a picture since they were so delicious.
For breakfast, I had the Cumberbach Benedict. It was very delicious, and my wife had the Berries French Toast. There were 3 huge slices of Frech Toast covered in blueberries.
This is a restaurant I would highly recommend and can't wait to go back.
At The Wicked Hop, I was introduced to a Spotted Cow. Apparently, a Wisconsin staple. I can see why. It was so cold and oh, so damn good! 🍺 I found a spot at the bar on a Friday around lunch. Plenty of room. Server was cool and super quick. One of the best 🍔 I've ever had. On top of that, They cooked it to the correct temp. Lots of outdoor seating, right in the middle of a really cool market area. Seems popular to locals.
Excellent place, with friendly staff and large portions. Definitely a place to try if you're in the area!
While visiting, we enjoyed the cheese curds appetizer, a turkey and swiss sandwich, and an easy rider sandwich. Everything was fabulous!
Nice little bar in a touristy location of the 3rd Ward. The food was good but service was meh. I was seated outside and waited about 15 mins with no service. I moved myself to the bar and the bartender took care of me immediately. I had the Ahi Tuna which was delicious.
Good vibe and big portions of food. Their fires are very delicious and crunchy, they even taste when reheated as left overs. The famous Bloody Mary comes with beer to wash the taste off a bit, love the cheese and sausage that were added into the drink, definitely very different experience. Cheese curds are awesome too! A good place to hang out and chill. Ask if you can get seated at the second floor for better view.
Really fun place. Excellent Bloody Mary's. Has a window along the sidewalk just for drinks. Food was hot, traditional and tasty. Servers were attentive. I can't believe how hard the window servers work to get those Bloody Marys out in a timely manner. This place deserves a definite visit while in Milwaukee.
Went here for after dinner drinks and had a great time. The unexpected dj added to our already fun evening, as did the smaller dance floor and artistic bar. The outdoor ice bar was beautiful, connected to a covered space with tables, heaters, and a corn hole set. Had there not been a blizzard during our visit, we definitely would have spent more time outside.
Great old town atmosphere. Fast friendly service. Cheese curds were great. Had an awesome Rueben sandwich. I would recommend this place if you’re in the mood for a good sandwich or salad.
