Bert's Bottle Shop

This was my second time at Berts. It is close to home so very convenient! I stayed away for a long time because the menu did not excite me. My sister and I recently visited however, and were pleasantly surprised! That particular visit we ordered one of the charcuterie boards and then we each had a Cornish Pastie... I had the Moroccan and my sister had the Chicken Cordon Bleu. The meals arrived with a beautiful salad on the plate....the pies looked scrumptious with a golden, flakey crust. Both were seasoned very nicely. The beer selection is nice and the staff was informative and very helpful. This is a hidden gem.... Today my husband and I went down for a late lunch. I had the Traditional Pastie and he had the Steak and Mushroom pie. Perfect! Nice salad, well made food....seasoned perfectly. Don't forget the tableside sauces you can put on your food! I decided on a wine.... a sauvignon blanc which was surprisingly good. I learned that their wine is "on tap" which keeps it fresh. I was actually concerned about ordering wine at a beer shop..... so it is nice to know there is a place close by I can get a nice glass of wine!!!!!!! So for you folks out there that aren't into the beer..... don't dismay! Berts does offer some "off menu" selections so just ask......

Stopped by today on a whim for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Bert's place is truly 5 stars all around - great décor, friendly staff, tasty food, and an almost overwhelmingly fantastic draft list. Never in a million years did I expect to see CBS 2019 Nitro! We had some wings and a flatbread to compliment our beers and life was beautiful.

Excellent selection of beer, also had wine and mixed drinks. That said, the food and good atmosphere are a significant draw. We shall be back. .. often!

Bert is very friendly and hospitable, and the inside is very cool with all the metal signs, cool tables and chairs, etc. I wish we had time to try the food but highly recommend stopping in to see Bert and his awesome bottle shop!

Stopped by on Saturday for a beer and a sample of food. Was very please with the quality of service and food. Stop by to support this local favorite of mine.
