Hands down one of the best Italian restraints this side of the Atlantic. Original Italian dishes made with fresh ingredients and excellent. There is both indoor and outdoor dining. Dining on the back lawn area is dreamy and romantic - it’s the white twinkle lights that create a hint of romance under the stars. I’ve been so many times I’ve tried everything on the menu and have never passed up a special…like their chicken parm! It’s absolutely delicious and there’s always leftovers. Great restaurant for groups, date night or a romantic dinner like Valentine’s Day. Not to be missed!

I went with my husband on a Saturday night. The place was packed but the service was still excellent. The food was delicious. We had the mushroom soup to start. The soup was creamy and rustic, exactly what I wanted it to be. As a main, I went with the gnocchi with braised beef, amazing. My husband had the rack of lamb and is still talking about it a week later. The desserts were also delicious. The price of the dishes is worth it. And it's BYOB so you save on drinks. We spent $120 before tip for 2 people which is honestly a fantastic price for apps, mains, and desserts.

Very lively on a Friday night. Service was a bit distracted by a large party. I started with the stuffed artichoke (which really needed to be shared, so big!) - it was delicious but needed salt. I also had the broccoli rabe ricotta gnocchi with sausage, which was very good and very filling. I brought more than half home. I recommend trying the almond cake for dessert - it is special.

Limited vegetarian options, mosquitoes towards the back of the patio, our waiter was very sweet, food was very tasty! Not very dog friendly, so we were constantly a bit nervous till we finished our dinner as we went with our 11 month lab.

One of the best cuisine experience that I had in my last trip to New Jersey. The place is wonderful, the terrace and the saloon are fancy. The ingredients are quality and very fresh. The preparation and presentation of the dishes stands out.
La Pergola is managed by its owners, the attention of its staff is very dedicated. I was there the day the soccer team from Peru (my country) was defeated by Australia, but what I remember the most from that day is the "linguini with marinara sauce", a simple dish that hide all the knowledge of Italian food.
I had the opportunity to meet Agron, the owner of La Pergola, a person who is passionate about his family and good food.
I will come back to La Pergola, for sure.

The staff, chefs, and cooks will work with you. But their ONLY Vegan option they had was bread. How are you gonna be an Italian restaurant without a simple pasta pomodoro or sauted spinach side?
I looked at my bill and I was charged the same amount even as the majority of animal products and cheeses were removed from my dishes. Also, they're Menu is small pretty small.
At least the place looks pretty and they have a strong alcohol list. However, this restaurant is living in the 90s.

Went today with my mother, waited to be seated for our reservation but no one came so we had to go through the patio where again no one sat us. After briefly talking to the kind Hispanic bus boy he directed me to someone to seat us. After being sat in a table with no plates or napkins and being handed menus with a shoe print, after 20 long minutes I had to wave down a waiter, since we did not have one, to which they rolled their eyes at me. After placing my order, which he kept correcting everything I would say from the menu, they rushed our food which was good, they kept rushing us to finish our plates and kept getting weird stares from staff…. Weird right… they sat a few other table to which they rapidly sat, read the menu with such vigor and charm, checked up on them nicely, they even brought out heat lamps to every table except to my table….then I noticed the reason why all this was happening, me an my mother were the only poc in the entire restaurant aside from the bus boy… we are Hispanic.. I would love to come back if under different circumstances

I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews but was left unimpressed. Food was OK, the establishment was packed shoulder to shoulder, and wait staff very inattentive. There were probably 3 or 4 waiters with 100 people in the very crowded restaurant. Got the mushrooms and burrata/tomato appetizer which was ok but nothing to write home about. Got the black linguine and shrimp and chicken francaise for main, nothing special either. Shrimp was good, linguine was OK, and the pasta for the chicken francaise was chewy and flavorless. Asked waiter for drink twice, didn’t come, had to ask a second waiter and he was able to provide. This restaurant seems to be geared more to the 60+ crowd which is fine, but overall experience was sub-par. Probably would not return.
