Hong Kong Flower Lounge

Ok, if you want some authentic Chinese / Hong Kong cuisine, this is it. So much so that no one speaks English there and you rely on pointing menu items with your finger to order. Food is quite fabulous and very reasonably priced. But my rational for 3-stars comes from the atmosphere, cleanliness, friendliness of servers, etc. The overall experience was just not good. First, you park in their underground parking lot that looks really sketchy. You try avoid any dirty puddles and grime to get to the worn out elevator. Everything has a 1980s vibe and you feel like you are in a street market. Not sure if they intended that. Noise levels are quite loud (although not specific to this restaurant). Saving grace is food obviously. Really interesting experience but won't be returning any time soon.

Long line for dim dum on a Sunday morning. Called at 1115 am, the receptionist asked our name and told us to come at 1230. Showed up at 12 noon but she said there was no reservation. Took my name and number in the party and then tapped the 2 x 2 on the table. There is practically no system in reservation. Some late comers even took matters into their own hands...they took a slip with handwritten number from a binder clip and wrote their names on the waiting list. Total breakdown.
