Asian Star

Food was fine but nothing special. The sesame chicken did not taste like sesame and instead tasted like orange chicken. It was also not very crispy. The tofu in the broccoli stir-fry was very soft, I would have preferred a more fried tofu. Parking is very limited and the location is short-staffed right now.

It’s called Asian Star for a reason. To start, the service was poor. We were never checked on during our dinner. If we had, we would’ve said that we were disappointed with the dish. We got the Sizzling Seafood Delight. It was incredibly bland. It was sitting in a sauce that needed more of a salty or savory element, something to add more depth. I love seafood, but it was some of the worst I’ve had. The scallop in particular lacked flavor for such a delicacy. It tasted watery. You would think with an expensive seafood dish such as this, it would be delicious.

Great tablecloth dining. No matter what time I go, the manager is there making sure every little detail is taken care of for your enjoyment. He even straightens tables and removes dishes as you finish if the waitress has been by. They accommodate my husbands mobility issues. Food portions are generous and the food is always hot and yummy. We go at least once a month. We live 20 minutes away, but we love their food. Their walnut shrimp is the best ever. Lettuce wraps are generous and yummy. Everyone should experience this hospitality and cuisine.

The honey walnut shrimp is amazing. There is no way that sauce is healthy for you, but I put it on everything I order there. The sesame chicken is nicely done and the ham fried rice is bussin. Probably some of the best in the valley. People need their honey walnut sauce fix on the daily so this place is busy. Plan ahead and they will take care of you.

Food was pretty good, nothing overly special. Still a nice option if you are feeling Asian food. Staff was really polite and food was served fast. One star deduction simply because the price is a bit more than I think is normal even with inflation - $12.00 for the first lunch special quickly adds up when you add a drink and tip. Pretty easy to hit $20.00 for lunch.
