Penn Station East Coast Subs

Asked for no sauce, lettuce or tomatoes. They put mayonnaise all over the sub. Apparently their subs don't come in meals and they don't ask either if we want to make it a meal. And you have to ask for a receipt they don't just give you a receipt. So we didn't even know what they rang up. The crew making the sandwiches kept switching positions so the lady at the grill was having to remake the food because they didn't know who was making what. Husband's sub was soggy so he didn't even eat his. Whole experience was terrible and will never go back.

The actual worst. Ordered two cheesesteaks and one fries. The restaurant is dirty, the staff were silent and unfriendly. Order was prepared quickly- but, both cheesesteaks were prepared wrong. The toppings were awful. The meat was very skimpy and flavorless. It was basically soggy onions and wilted mini chops of old lettuce on a bun. So much lettuce that I could barely find or even taste the meat. The next time I want a cheesesteak- I will go literally anywhere else.

I have never been so embarrassed in my life. I'm 66yrs old with cancer and was just in this restaurant trying to get a drink and was accused of being in her ( customer) space, which was totally wrong. Then she told me crawl back in my hole. Then she said I must be a f. Republican. Wow. Then told the manager I was harassing her.. NOT. Her proceeded to take her side and did not even ask me a word. Again I did nothing but here we go. So mind you all I said was please leave me alone. But was never asked.

The food here has always been excellent but it was a very big let down to see all the signs on the door and front glass about mask being required to enter only to see not just customers with no mask at all but the employees as well. Employees making the food either not having their mask on correctly "under the nose" or having it pulled below their chin completely off their face. I understand customers refusing to wear them. I just wish if they had a sign saying mask "required" at a minimum the employee and buisness would follow their own rules posted.
