On our way back home from flea market, thrift store hunting we stopped in Middletown, Connecticut for lunch. My wife knew of this place when she came here when she was younger. We talked to the owner for a bit while waiting for our sandwiches to be made. If your in the area give this place some love. Definitely worth the trip for breakfast or lunch.
Absolutely delicious sandwiches and wonderful owners. Their ingredients and deli meat are always fresh every time I go pick up a honey bbq sandwich with avocado, thanks to Cynthia. Also, they accept food stamps! Ask the owner about thanking Lyndon Johnson for that as well.
I haven't been here in a couple of years . It's nice to see the same owners are still there. Nice people.

This place was great. Friendly owners and great sandwich maker in the back. It was the highlight of my visit to Wesleyan. I bought son nickel candy and got an entertaining story about the owners. Definitely going back.

Me and my fiancé stopped here after getting lost and now I’m considering moving to Middletown. The food is amazing and the couple who was running the register and kitchen were super friendly!

Today, decided to try a local sandwich shop that’s open on Sundays. Found the Neon Deli. Sometimes when we try new places, we aren’t always pleased. But that wasn’t the case here. Friendly owner and courteous staff. We were walk-ins, and it took around 10 -12 minutes for our grinders to be made. We took that time to explore the beverages, salads, snacks and pantry they offered. Had a pleasant chat with the very kind owner. The grinders were packed full. Everything tasted fresh, including the grinder roll. We will definitely be regulars here!
We're in town for a hockey tournament and always look for places like this.
Was not disappointed. Took one bite of my sandwich and was instantly taken back to my child hood and grandma's house.
Nice variety of food, sandwiches and the owners were warm and welcoming.
