When you first arrive, the smell of the food really entices you to enter! The staff is friendly and the service is good. Food: The portions are very generous. The flavors really explode with satisfaction in every bite, definitely worth the money. The restaurant itself is very artistic and has a good Mexican restaurant feel.

Being from Texas, I have to add the context that there is probably not any good Mexican food in the middle of Tennessee. Having said that, this place did not hit high marks for me. Chips and salsa are a staple for me with Mexican. The chips were actually great - the salsa was from a jar. The tortillas were store bough as well which for me is a big negative. I ordered the grilled chicken salad and it was just iceberg lettuce with chicken and melted cheese. The chicken itself was good but not much of a salad. The salad dressing was in a packet which is a big turn-off as well. The interior is very festive and the service was great so that brought me up from a 1 star.

Pretty decent food. The service was a little lacking. We asked for a dessert menu after we finished our meal and waited 10 minutes. When the waiter came back he had forgotten to bring the dessert menu. He brought us one after several more minutes. By then we were ready to leave. We never got a bill for the food so we had to tell the person at the register which table we were at to pay.

So far no good. I was seated promptly upon arrival. But after that it was like they forgot i existed. The busser brought me a beer and some chips after I’d been sitting for a few. I watched a couple that came in after me get their food and check before my food ever came out. I watched a 5 top wait 15 minutes for their check. When I wanted a refill on the beer I walked up to the hostess stand to order it. I’ve been here about an hour and a half and haven’t gotten my food at this point. I’m sure it’s a one off kinda day but thus far not very impressed. I think I got here around 3:30. It’s 5pm and no food on the table yet.
