This is our favorite restaurant. The food is consistently delicious, and the people who work there are nice. Highly recommend the tacos, nachos, vegetarian delight salad, lydia's salad, cheese melt, pastrami sandwich... everything is yummy! If you come for breakfast the gluten free waffle is delicious and so is the omelet. And the Bongo banana/ice cream dessert is awesome and gluten free!

Had a delicious lunch out on the patio. The menu is interesting and varied and the quality and freshness of the food is outstanding. The service was excellent too. The musical entertainment on the patio was a pleasant and welcome addition. It made for a very relaxing and enjoyable afternoon with friends.

My wife and I visited Elaine's shop the day before this year's Christmas parade. It was the first time my wife and I had been to Middleburg so we didn't know too much about the parade and the town. Elaine could not have been more kind and helpful! She gave us information on parking, the best places to eat and the best shops to visit. The next day, at the parade, we stopped by Elaine's shop and had the most delicious lamb and beef stew that we had ever eaten. My wife and I also met Elaine's daughter and her family, they were also wonderful people! I would say that Elaine is practically the mayor of Middleburg. She truly could not be a nicer person. Thank you Elaine for making our trip fantastic! We will see you next year.

They have the best beef and lamb I've ever tasted. Since they are raised well and grass-fed, they don't cause the digestive issues of other suppliers. Elaine and Bernadette are two of the nicest people and have made suggestions which really helped my diet. I unfortunately moved a couple of states away, but I still make regular trips back to stock up the freezer.

Our experience with Elaine and the Side Saddle Bistro was AMAZING! Our family recently vacationed in Middleburg to surprise my mother for her 75th birthday and Elaine helped us to plan and host the most wonderful birthday dinner to celebrate her. From start to finish, she was an absolute pleasure to work with. Elaine was so communicative and helpful during the party and meal planning, even sending inspiration photos from past events. Side Saddle Bistro had a cozy, casual, charming atmosphere and the food was divine; it was hands-down one of the best meals I've ever eaten! Our family is still talking about the beef wellington and almond cake :). Thank you, Elaine, for such a memorable experience!

I recently hosted a bridal shower here and could not haven been happier. The food was amazing, the staff was extremely attentive, and the displays and flowers were so beautiful. Elaine and her staff went above and beyond to make us feel so welcomed. This was the perfect setting for a bridal shower. Highly recommend!

This is our favorite restaurant. The food is consistently delicious, and the people who work there are nice. Highly recommend the tacos, nachos, vegetarian delight salad, lydia's citrus salad, cheese melt, pastrami sandwich... everything is yummy! If you come for breakfast the gluten free waffle is delicious and so is the omelet. And the Bongo banana/ice cream dessert is awesome and gluten free! The farm store in front sells meat from their farm (humanely raise on pasture...) plus eggs, cheese etc. Highly recommend Side Saddle!

A few weeks ago, my mom and I stopped in for lunch with my two small children. We didn't realize they were closed, but the owner welcomed us and whipped up a delicious lunch while happily chatting and getting to know us. She was so sweet and couldn't have been nicer despite not technically being open. She then pulled out a box of chalk and opened a brand new sleeve and handed the chalk to my kids. She said "Here! Draw all over the floor! It'll wash up quickly with water. My grandkids love doing this!" I was floored by her generous hospitality! My kids loved drawing on the floor and occasionally looked up in disbelief that they were not only allowed to do that, but encouraged to do so. We left with full bellies and inspired hearts to do kind things for other people. She treated us like family from the minute we walked in. Thank you for such a memorable day, we can't wait to come back!

My wife and I are always looking for organic restaurants in the Northern Virginia area. (There are very few organic places to eat). Fortunately, we found one in the lovely town of Middleburg... the Side Saddle Cafe' - great food, good - friendly service, nice atmosphere. I loved the loaded Steak and Cheese Melt - the best I've had in a long time. In fact, possibly the best I have ever had, since the steak was from their farm which we later visited - purchasing several items. We will be back to the cafe' and farm! (-I even ordered another steak and cheese to go!) Additionally, we shared a super dessert. Highly recommend this cafe'

Love their Farm Store! We were looking for a butcher, and found Fields of Athenry. We ordered several cuts of meat and picked them up in Middleburg. We met Elaine and she was wonderful. We grilled several of our purchases and loved the quality. It’s our new go to for all our meat purchases. Highly recommended.

Farm to table fresh food. An eclectic dining room meets you when you enter the restaurant off the alley. A mix of small tables and a couple of bar height tables with stools offer limited seating. The food is made fresh to order with farm fresh ingredients. The hot ham and cheese is one of the best we have ever had, the burgers was very good as well. Try the fresh bread with Amish butter as a starter to truly appreciate the wholesome goodness of the food here.

Their lamb sausage is incredible. And we've noticed that meatloaf with their ground lamb is much better than when we make out with ground lamb from the grocery store. Excellent customer service and unparalleled products. And it's so nice to support a local grass-fed farm with a female owner.
