I didn't stay here, but the rooms looked nice. Ate dinner in the Pub, it is first come first served and opens for dinner at 4PM. The Pub has great food. We ordered the duck wings and they were awesome, also the cauliflower appetizer was nice, and the baked brie was very good. I ordered the apple cider lemon mule and it was delicious.
My first fine dining experience was truly unforgettable at this restaurant. It was a special birthday treat from my girlfriend, and our waiter, Sebastian, made it exceptional. He was friendly, skillfully explaining each dish and its wine pairing. While we awaited our entrees, he even gave us a sheet to learn about the history of the Red Fox Inn. It was more than just a meal; it was an incredible experience!
Truly excellent service is difficult to come by these days, outside of the fanciest of establishments. The Red Fox Inn is affordable luxury, not just in its extremely well appointed rooms, but in the way you are treated as a guest. The entire team from front desk to food busers were kind, smiley, and helpful. Particular shout out to Emily & Stephanie who were exceptionally helpful to myself and our entire group of 10 bicyclists. They were true professionals!
The restaurant is a sleeper also.... do it! Breakfast to the room was far and away the best in-room breakfast I've ever had.
This place is a guaranteed win.
One of the best experiences I have ever had! Beautiful rooms in a great location. The food was phenomenal and breakfast is served directly to your room every day! Can’t recommend Red Fox enough!
We dined at the pub within the Red Fox Inn & Tavern and had a wonderful experience. Both the food and service were outstanding. This is the oldest inn still in business in North America and the 6th oldest restaurant in the United States. If you're in the surrounding Middleburg area, the Red Fox Inn & Tavern is a must visit both from a fine dining and historic visit perspective. We had a great time tonight and highly recommend it here, especially if you're looking for a special occasion type of experience.
This restaurant is one of the best I've been able to dinne in. We went for our 15th anniversary. They have a 4 course menu with few options to choose and wine pairing each course. For the first course, we had Cavatelli and lamb ragout and Delicata Tartlet. Our favorite, the Cavatelli. For the second course, we picked Poached pear salad and Baby beets and stracciatella. They both were outstanding. For the main course, we decided to go for the Cider glazed fried rabbit and Peanut crusted rack of lamb. These two main courses were out of this world. Finally, the dessert. Caramelized plum upside-down cake and the Flourless chocolate fondant cake. The upside-down cake was my favorite. The wine pairing for dessert was a surprise, Champagne and cider granita. Refreshing, fruity, and spicy. From the entrance to the end, the experience was very pleasant. Kudos to Summer, our server. She is so knowledgeable, soft, pretty and sweet young lady. Always on top of our needs. Definitely I recommend this place if you want to celebrate an important day.
This was a wonderful stay at a great Inn. Quaint and offers a lot.
Beautiful grounds, great location.
Staff was kind and helpful, especially Samuel.
Our room was clean, spacious, Comfortable. Hope to return!
We did not stay at the Inn but did eat at the pub. The service was very nice and professional. Food was excellent , ingredients were fresh. Prices were high but that is to be expected for the area. I’d recommend.
The food and service are amazing. For Special events we travel the three and half hours just to eat here.
Such a wonderful dinner with my sister-in law and her husband in the gorgeous Middleburg country. From the wine to dinner to dessert, simply delectable.
