Carolina Ale House - Gables

This is by far my favorite local watering hole - great service from Mada, Cheech and everyone behind the bar it makes my day every time I stop in for a bite or a quick beer. The food is top notch, not frozen and hand made - yeah, it’s barfood, Yes, but it’s par excellence! It’s done at a high-level and then the bartenders are so personable cool and friendly. It makes me feel great. I also love the wide open design every time I stop in, I feel like I’m walking into home. I always wanted a bar like this near my house. Grateful for these great servers and grateful for the spot.

First time at the Ale House so we had no idea what to expect. The family wanted to watch UM vs. Clemson Football game and this was the closest restaurant to us. We arrived and were seated right away! Our server, Mandie, was heaven sent! Polite, Funny and very Attentive. We informed her it was our first time and asked for some recommendations. Mandie was so knowledgeable and suggested some great options. She advised we order a Grilled Chicken Sandwich with cheese (Just how she would order it for herself) Wow! So fresh, so juicy and absolutely delicious! My husband and I both went with her recommendation and would have another one again! The side of fries were crisp, perfect amount of salt, absolutely delicious! Mandie pretty much spoiled us. Whatever she recommended, We’d order! The spinach dip, fried pickles, French onion soup, burgers, tenders for my little one, Donuts for dessert with Ice cream, Three layered chocolate cake. ALL ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! When we arrived to the restaurant, the Football game we went to watch wasn’t playing on their numerous screens but that changed immediately. Management turned the music down and the game up! We felt like V.I.P.! We were so grateful for their attention to detail and the great service that I asked Mandie to get her manager. I had to personally tell her about our first experience at Carolina Ale House- Gables. Now I’d like potential customers know of this great restaurant. Great management, we LOVED Mandie, everyone was pleased and looking forward to returning.

It’s our first time here and we enjoyed our evening. We came to watch soccer and tennis while having a casual dinner. Cheech waited on us and gave us excellent service. We had a spinach dip with shrimp and bacon. We also tried the chicken wings. Everything was very good and the attention was spot on.
