Manger Creole

Sorry I forgot to take a picture before eating 😔. This was my first time eating at this restaurant. I found it on Uber Eats. I ordered A side of white rice, the fried pork with black rice entrée, as well as the fried red snapper try, which macaroni, fried plantain, cajun shrimp, red beans, and rice. My food was properly packed and well secured to prevent the possibility of food tampering, during the delivery process. The food was tasty with the exceptions of the following: the fish lacked in salt, the red beans and rice was dry. Lastly, for the amount of money I paid ($113.80) the portion size was small. Despite of the few mishaps, I would definitely order from this place again.

I had wanted a good Haitian meal before I even visited Miami. On my last day, I was determined to go. I turned to Google Maps to help. I was quite surprised at how many there were. I chose Gregg's based on the price range, the convince to my hotel, and I saw turkey on the menu. I need to visit Miami again to try a different one. Maybe I got there too late. They were closing 45 minutes after I got there. My turkey was old and dry, the service was tired, and there's nothing worse than the employees sweeping the floor while I'm eating. Maybe if I revisit, I will get there early, and the dish will be fresh, or maybe I would try something altogether different. They definitely had good business and people coming, and the portions were good. I just was not happy 😔

best authentic haitian food in Miami. the more popular naomi’s garden, for example, was good in comparison, but not authentic. here, I waited a little long for my food during lunch rush (ordered pwason fri) but all annoyance I had disappeared at the first bite. extremely worth the wait. griot and plantains were amazing too, done correctly! pikliz was flavorful and creative as well. they are doing it right over here. hope greg’s cookout becomes the go-to spot in the area, they deserve it.
