Battubelin

We finally made it here! It has been on our “to-do list” for a long time, but the restaurant is open only for dinner and it’s a long way from where we live in West Palm Beach. Unfortunately it was still too hot to eat outside: their patio is big and has a nice ambiance. Their dining room is big, doesn’t have any particular décor, and got crowded very fast (it was a Saturday night – luckily they have a private parking) We ordered a “salumi board” as appetizer to share with our friends: everything was delicious. I then ordered pasta with clams: not only the presentation was nice, but it was also very good. Same for my husband’s “cacio & pepe”, which was very creamy. Our friends ordered pizza: I had a small bite and liked it, but I have my favorite place for pizza and I haven’t found a better option yet. To be fair, however, my favorite pizza place makes Neapolitan pizza, while Battubelin’s pizza are of a different style (from Northern Italy). I also shared a panna cotta with my friend, but next time I’ll order one just for myself: it was amazing! The best panna cotta I had so far in the US! The service is very friendly and attentive; however, I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because: 1. The music was so loud that we couldn’t have a conversation and the waiter had to bend over the table to hear us; 2. The prices on their menu online are about $4-5 cheaper than the real ones; 3. It’s on the expensive side, and there are other places in Miami that offer the same authentic cuisine at cheaper prices. Having said that… we will certainly come back when the occasion arises.

Service was friendly, attentive and patient. We were the first customers of the evening on a Tuesday. The team at Battubelin catered to us, answering all our questions, making suggestions based on the tastes and preferences we explained and were overall very kind. Plenty of customers arrived after us, including takeout customers. This did not at all impact our level of service or the pace items arrived to our table. This was impressive! The quality of the food was excellent. A nice simple bread service comes with the meal. The fried calamari & vegetables was cooked perfectly. The marinara sauce served with it was delicious - chunky tomato, simply seasoned. So good. I had a pizza that comes with speck, mushrooms and truffle oil. It was delicious and the dough was airy. There is a happy hour - buy one get one on drinks. I had two mezcal-based cocktails that were flavored well and deceptively strong. Didn't get to try dessert, too stuffed from the meal. Overall, really enjoyed the experience at Battubelin and look forward to returning soon.

The food scene in this area just keeps getting more interesting. This gem delivered on quality options, well-executed, homemade pasta & nice variety. The ambiance felt like industrial elegance, w/out spilling into pretentious. The sax player was a classy touch, keeping the chill vibe. We look forward to returning to sample their pizza.

Delicious experience! We ordered beer, mojito and watermelon martini for drinks. For appetizer we had Vitello Tonnato, it was 💯. For main course we got Tagliata di Manzo, Vongole pasta and the Costine di Agnello, presentation and flavor was exquisite, everything was well cook. The desserts were the best part, best Panna Cotta was a total experience, Tiramisu was great ♥️ I definitely will be back! Servers are super handsome, good job! 😀👍🏼
