First, our server, Jorge, was inviting and engaging with myself and my party. He was also so accommodating to our needs and made sure things were good during our meal.
The staff all in all were very friendly and had a pleasant and positive attitude.

As a person who only drinks craft or local beers, I almost needed to have a cocktail instead. Thankfully Miami brews the Havana Lager and their kitchen hits comfort food with local flair - in our case this included fried plantains which were fantastic. I can't include any pictures because we ate everything before I thought I should capture its presentation.
The Rickenbacker would rate five stars as an airport hotel bar if they had a larger selection of either beer or liquor, but they were above average based purely on the quality of their food. If you need to stop over in Miami for a night and will stay in, the Sheraton Miami Airport is a decent choice.

Much better than would be expected in a hotel restaurant/bar. Good menu and friendly service. A great place to relax after a trying flight. We stayed in the hotel overnight until our continuing flight.
