The food was great and the portion sizes are large enough for 2-3 people to share. The place is open late till 5am.

Love it! I have been going to Gigi for a while now and I absolutely love it. Food is great and never had issues with the service. Yes, the menu is small but they Also have daily specials and lunch menu is different from dinner. I try something different every time and I'm never disappointed. Not cheap but worth the price. Pork buns and cornbread are amazing! Oh! and the desserts are incredibly delicious!

This is one of those places where you easily want to come back regularly. It is a small restaurant with a trendy atmosphere and nice dishes. The food is a combination of Asian with American food and they got a nice balance between both of them. The buns are a must in this place as well as the grilled octopus. The only downside in my opinion is that sitting inside could be overwhelming with all the noise, however you have the option to be sitted outside which it is perfect at night. Also what is nice of this place is that they close late at night specially during weekends.

The food was fantastic! Started off with bbq buns... delicious. Next was the ribs which i could not get enough, but by far, the greatest was their filet. Mouth watering, absolutely perfect. I never review places but gigis earned it. Best part is that they're always open! 11/10

Hippsterish atmosphere, but it's open late and the food is great! You gotta try the pork buns, lamb lollypops, chicken schnitzel, steak chow fun... and the bread pudding is also amazing!

I'm a fan of this place. Every time I visit Miami I have to make a stopover here. The buns are delicious and one of the specials of the day was a burrata to die for! The brussels (with cauliflower, bacon and soy) are a must if they're still on the menu when you visit and you should try the chau fan too! Lunch for four was $150 (without tip) so on the expensive side.

Trendy! Japanese food with a more homey feel. Love the service and customer service. Enjoyed the sake. The spicy shrimp fried rice is an automatic must

I don't like places where everyone builds up the service, and food only to be let down like a freshman girl the morning after her first frat party. On a unrelated note, I miss college so much. Gigi in midtown is not one of these places. Sure the hype is there. Everyone online is talking about it, and singing the praises. Sure they talk about the food being some of the best you'll ever have the good fortune to masticate (That's MASTICATE as in chew, not the other one...). I've got to admit they are right. I've been several times and these guys know what their doing. The location is across the street from Midtown, and is part of the strip with EQ3 and Bardot (see review on Bardot). For all those Brickell yuppies who want to listen to a bit of emo, get a glass of sake and have been looking for that perfect convertible sofa to match the new paint in your kitchen this is Mecca for you, trust me I just did all three of those this weeknd. Gigi is a bit on the small side, half of the seating is at the open kitchen, or the outside wall (all glass). The walls are concrete, with spray paint, and lots of natural wood. You're not here for the ambiance, you're here for the food. Gigi has a simi asian thing going on. The sign says "noodles and beer". Don't however expect fried rice that will leave you hungry in 15 minutes. Most of the plates are small share portions. Prices range from about $3 - $15. In my not so expert advice I would tell you to order lots of little plates and skip the larger ones so you can try a bunch. Standouts on the menu include... Short Rib Meatloaf, Mushroom Buns, Tomato Avocado salad, fried eggplant, tuna roll, and just about anything else they offer to bring me. Jeff's team even makes their own pepper sauce that tastes light-years better then the stuff you find at your local china house 1, 2,or 3.145138. I never found the desserts anything to write home about but the entrees are so good, and reasonably priced that I never spent to much time worrying about dessert. The staff is expertly trained, no doubt a product of the founding Chef's days at The Ritz-Carlton down the road. Sure the place can get a bit loud, and crowded but that's the result of having a remarkable product that people are willing to wait for. 4 stars to Gigi. They have delivered a service to the masses and given us exactly what we want, good food at a good price, no frills, no pretension.

If there is one restaurant in Miami that never fails to serve up top notch tapas food it's Gigi's. It doesn't matter what time of day it is (and this spot is open in the wee ours as it neighbors one of the city's hottest night clubs: Bardot) you can expect to enjoy delicious grub that is all affordable. I'm obsessed with their buns which you can get vegeterian style with mushrooms or opt for the carnivorous choice with pork. The sake is dynamite and their desserts are what many refer to as food porn. Watching your weight? Go for a mini ice cream cone and finish it off with a fat free cappuccino.
