The chicken was pretty good. Sushi in my opinion was nothing special and definitely did not match the price. Automatic 18% tip was added to bill, not a fan of forced gratuity as this should be based upon the level of service in my opinion which didn’t level up. Environment is cool, but service was very blah. Might return to try non-sushi items.

Everything is delicious! We tried the Happy Hour menu and ordered fried chicken and it’s very tender and soft, the spicy tuna with crispy rice gave me a “wow” factor! The dragon roll and salmon roll were both excellent. In addition, I like the atmosphere and the music We came back for Sunday brunch “feast experience”. Thank you, to our wonderful staff Nick, GM Gabby and awesome Chef Jason for making it a memorable New Year’s Sunday.

Visited for lunch on the weekend for a birthday in the family. Service was on point. From the reservation, they made sure to greet us and wish a happy birthday. At the table, the specials and 3-course brunch were explained. We decided to do lunch instead, ordering from the menu. We got lots of different plates to share, including some sushi, dim sum, appetizers, as well as some cocktails. Dim sum selection was okay, the variety was fun but they didn’t taste amazing, so I would probably skip on those, especially because it’s $35 for 6 pieces… sushi was very good and tasted fresh, out favorite rolls were Black Dragon and Philadelphia. Crispy Brussel sprouts were delicious and one of favorite dishes. Salmon truffle ponzu was very tasty as well! Cocktails were great and well balanced. Overall, everything was great and ambiance was on point!

Nice, romantic environment. The food was fantastic. We got several items and loved them all! We would definitely return. They had a whole vegan menu and everything that I tasted was incredible.

Our waiter from the 1Hotel, Chris C highly recommended Tanuki and we decided to try it. First note - make your reservation as the hostess didn't seem to be flexible with seatings the day we were there (our party size increased by one). Second note - our reservation overlaps with "happy hour" and what a great way to sample their dishes at the happy hour prices (don't be fooled, the portions were sample size as well). Nevertheless it's a phenomenal way to explore any restaurants' dishes. The ambiance was lively - great place for dates, groups, after work, and I didn’t feel like it was a tourist trap. Service was a tad bit slow but it is Miami and vacation for us so that was not a big deal. The food was excellent - I have no pictures to show, perhaps the dishes didn't linger long enough before it was devoured. Side Note - dog friendly as you will see in one of my attached pictures. I have dined at Sushi Garage which I felt was a bit overrated nevertheless a good spot for sushi in Miami but not necessarily that place that hit my recurring visit list; Tanuki is becoming my go-to spot for sushi in Miami (definitely hit the recurring visit list) And how can I miss the cocktails!!!! They were innovative and amazing. Very Important - if you know Chris C, let him know he was on point with his recommendation.

WOW. I mean WOW. We stumbled upon by accident and we are so glad we did! Nick, our server was fab. I’m a big foodie and kinda hard to impress but we ordered 6 plates of goodies between the 4 of us so we could all try them + cocktails + saki. Every dish was amazing - flavor galore perfect melding of ingredients and the happy hour prices are really good! Fav for me was the Gyoza (amazing) and the mushroom hot pot and the Brussels sprouts. I love truffles so I appreciated several dishes included that. Dragon roll also delish, Peking dumplings also good, tuna salad VERY good. Not one thing that wasn’t delicious - we ate every single bite lol. The atmosphere is also super cool - decor top notch and the katana wall was just such a cool design element!! Absolutely will be back and bring all our guests here. Just so so so good.

This is a great West Avenue neighborhood restaurant/bar. The happy hour has a lot of good options and the craft cocktails are 🔥. As far as the food, it is delicious and they have some unique takes on traditional dishes. If you find yourself in the West Ave neighborhood of SoBe, give this restaurant a try. You will not be disappointed!

First of all, they have happy hour during the weekends, what a plus! We went on a Sunday afternoon and the attention was great, the drinks were amazing… and I cannot emphasize this enough. We had some dim sum, the Peking duck and everything was absolutely delicious. We will definitely return.
