The famous Washington Avenue of Miami Beach is the spot where the Queen Fratelli La Bùfala, popular Italian restaurant whose fame rests on the spirit of tradition and love for the flavors of the traditional Italian cuisine by using fresh and organic produce.
It is ideal for family and friends. It’s a unassuming, bustling and very busy venue, whose wood-fired oven pastas and pizzas are delicious. They serve a Burrata so fresh that it almost melts in your mouth.
Fratelli La Bufala boasts a broad experience in franchises. In fact, it has over 100 restaurants around the world, with a prestige that rests on firm principles such as sense of belonging, teamwork and food quality.
When you are around Miami Beach, this restaurant is worth visiting.
If you live on Miami Beach, this is a good place to visit. If you don’t live on Miami Beach, this is still a good place to visit and worth the trip.
The pasta sections are very well done and I’ve never had anything that wasn’t top notch. The pizza is, how does one say ‘wow!!’ in Italian?
If you happen to be fluent or even semi-fluent in Italian, this is your place. The staff is all Italian and graciously friendly.
This review is based on two separate visits; on both occasions, Fratelli la Bufala did not fail to impress. Look no further for authentic Italian food, with simple but very good ingredients.
The first time, we went for their wonderful pizzas: we had a marinara and a puttanesca, both delicious (the tomato sauce makes all the difference). The second time, we had the linguine ai gamberi, with delicious grilled prawns, zucchine and cherry tomatoes, and the spaghetti al cuore di carciofo, with delicious grilled speck, caccio and olives.
Even the complimentary bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar is very good. It's good to see this place is still the same two years after our first visit to Miami. It's good value for money, too - $50-60 for two (and for such quality) is a steal in rip-off South Beach.
I am a big fan of Italy and Italian food. Heard about this place a lot. That is why, I had very big expectations. It was even better than what I have heard before. I selected to go with Margheritana. What a delicous pizza.

Excellent pizza and service. Had the Cotechina pizza and the Ripienone calzone and both were on-point. Possibly the best crust I've ever had. Highly recommended.
I was in the Miami Beach area on a business trip. I was in mood for Italian. And decided to give Fratelli a try.
I was seated quickly and my server, Vicky was attentive and pleasant. Service was good considering the evening rush and the pasta was excellent, "bucatini a la carbonara."
After dinner I had an excellent espresso.
On a recent trip to south beach for the “South Beach Wine and Food Festival”, we had some time to kill before the festivities began. Jon and I visited Fratelli la Bufala , a pizzeria at 5th and Washington. This is one of two USA locations; the others are scattered across Europe, centered in Italy.
We started with the famous Burrata appetizer, which came with arugula, sliced tomatoes, and cherry tomatoes. If you haven’t had Burrata, it’s like the hard shell of Buffalo Mozzarella with a creamier mozzarella inside. I usually dislike arugula, but this complemented the dish so well. With a splash of olive oil and balsamic for each bite, Jon and I were in heaven. The “small” portion was quite a lot for two people (4+ could definitely share) and the price not cheap, but it came from Italy and we were in love with the taste.
We shared a 1/2 Margherita DOP and 1/2 spicy salame. I was afraid of the spice so was glad that it only covered half the pizza. The crust here was phenomenal. Super thin, perfect flavor, and all toppings went close to the edges to maximize pizza happiness. Basil under the cheese was key because it was able to wilt and cook appropriately rather than being added last minute. Oven time was super quick and the pizza was fully satisfying along with Peroni beers on draft.
Loved the Italians working there. Loved the service. Loved the pizza. We were so happy with our meal. Check it out when you’re in South Beach!
(*I know there are mixed reviews on this spot, but I had no complaints, so come give it a try!)
Down home delicious. Very authentic and italian, love the place, from the caprese to the pasta with buffalo meat sauce, yummy in my tummy and comforting. I would eat here everyday if I could
Service was great. Buffalo steak was great. Caprese salad was great. Lasagna was overdone. I would go again just wouldn't have the lasagna.
Its a must try !. Their no shortage of pizza in this town that's for sure. the new buffalo cheese craze of course the real reason to try this place. pizza crust a bit soft , if that's your thing its all here.
