BEWARE:

My family felt discriminated against in this establishment and were treated poorly when expressing their discomfort to both the waitress and management.

Our experience is that they are not customer centric

Please be advised that they state their policy is take payment before rendering any services to you. This is unlike most restaurants where you sit down, enjoy a meal, and then receive a check and pay.

I would suggest going to another restaurant unless the above does not sound horrible to you. There are many other options to consider that have great service from the start.

La Côte is a casual dining / drinks terrace by the Fontainebleau hotel's pool. Non-hotel guests are also welcome, and the restaurant has an entrance from the beach boardwalk.

I sat at the bar and ordered a frozen margarita and a plate of fried calamari, which came with chopped olives, jalapeños and romesco sauce - all very good.

My first meal at The Fontainebleau was a quick lunch al fresco at La Cote. La Cote is a casual outdoor restaurant located directly between the expansive pool and the beach, so it's the perfect place for a little refreshment break while you're spending your time at either. I enjoyed a Caesar salad with a combination of radicchio and romaine, tangy Caesar dressing, and topped with huge grilled prawns. I did not, however, enjoy the local wildlife at La Cote. If you're not a fan of birds you may opt for another restaurant at the resort because they are all over La Cote and also very brave!

Known for its picturesque views of the Atlantic Ocean and sunset vistas, La Côte, the chic, two-level, French Mediterranean restaurant at Fontainebleau Miami Beach, has been a favorite for locals and visitors alike. Always abuzz, the restaurant is a destination as much for its food as its beautiful scenery. It is the proximity to the ocean to La Côte that has inspired chef de cuisine Christina Coupet’s refined new lunch and dinner menus.

The good weather is here, finally! – and going out to lunch anywhere in Miami is special, and more special when you head to the Fontainebleau. This hotel is breathtaking, there are only a few hotels like the Fontainebleau in Miami. The decor is simply shocking. What I absolutely love are the marble floors, and of course, inside the Fontainebleau is like being in a different city altogether. We actually got lost when looking for La Cote Restaurant and we passed at least three coffee houses, one gelato place, the gym, spas, clothing stores, you name it. We finally made our way to La Cote Restaurant after walking through the pool area. There were a lot of people sunbathing, the hotel definitely felt full. We sat with my friend Cameron who is visiting from San Francisco at one of the less noisy tables in the back. Immediately we got attended and greeted by a very well spoken waiter who smile the entire time. He explained the menu and took our drink order. Of course we were up for a bottle

Chilled Prawns with salsa verde $18. These prawns were fresh and crunchy. I think there were 5 in the serving of $18. The salsa verde was finely chopped which shows a sign of a chef who cares how his/her food is presented. The salsa verde was very mild with a touch vinegar. I liked that the salsa did not overpower the subtle taste of the prawns.
