Sonic Drive-in

I've had mostly positive experiences coming here, especially since one of the night managers no longer works at this location. (She was always had an irritated air about her, almost like she was doing you a huge favor just by being there, and that your speaking to her was a major inconvenience. All of that is annoying, but what got me to boycott that location for over a year was due to her rude behavior one particular night. I drove up to get a butterfinger blast, and ordered it same way I've been ordering it for the last decade+ at that age dozens of other locations, without incident, which is as follows: "1 small butterfinger Blast with whipped cream, but with a little more whipped cream, and a little less ice cream?" Again, every other Sonic employee has obliged and has never charged me for the extra whipped cream, but not her. And I was asking my request, she interrupted me and said "we don't do that here", to which I replied " "Really? Is that a new policy? Because every Sonic I've gone to has done that for me, including this one." But she still insisted that they don't do that. Fine, whatever, not worth arguing about. So I just told her fine, make it the regular way and put the whipped cream on top. She hands me the cream when she's done and There literally is the smallest amount of whipped cream on top - about the size of a quarter. So I politely ask her (even tho I all I want to do is choke that sourpuss look right off her face) to please add a little more, She'd begrudginy takes the ice cream back, adds another minuscule amount and then hands me the ice cream as well as receipt. When I got home and looked at the receipt, I saw she had charged me an extra $0.50 per topping, So basically she charged an extra dollar for the laughable amount of whipped cream that she put on there. $1 extra is not that big of a deal, but it's the principal of the matter. It really infuriated, me so I stopped going to that location. Anyhow I haven't seen her again, and every time I go there now the is service is great, the staff is always smiling and friendly, and very accommodating. 😁

Clean, prompt and good attitudes. I live near this location so it's convenient but I know I can always trust the service and quality of the food. I had a large order as my wife and I's blended family we are 8. Perfect with the exception of 2 slushies, I noticed before we left, pressed the button and the promptly made the drinks with a refund and added a few snacks to seal the deal. Mistakes happen but they went above and beyond to ensure we were happy.

Our order took a little while but totally understandable due to shortages of workers. My banana shake was good!..

Great service and perfectly located next to a Mesa pool! We have to stop every time we go to the pool!
