Po Chicken

Simple Korean restaurant. Service staff is polite, efficient and attentive. The spicy pork hot pot rice was savory and had the right amount of spiciness. It was served in a hot bowl made of stone. The O Sam Kong Bul, or spicy squid and pork belly, had the right amount of spiciness but could be more flavorful. This same dish at other restaurants would have onion and other vegetables to be more flavorful. We ordered a mix of sweet/spicy and soy/garlic Korean chicken wings (seven of each). The sweet/spicy ones were a bit too sweet for me, but barely spicy. The soy/garlic wings could be more savory. Both types were crispy, yet moist. We may return to this restaurant to try other dishes.

Delicious KFC with tasty sauces!! The chicken was very crispy, well cooked, tender. Good diversity of sauces, and the spicy sauces actually have a good level of heat! We also really enjoyed the mandu dumplings. The shrimp, pork, and kimchi dumplings were hand made in-house. Thin, tender wrappers and plentiful, tasty fillings made these dumplings a treat! The rice cake (tteokbokki) stir fry was delicious as well! The spicy sauce was truly spicy! Excellent service and food, we plan on coming back again!

So yummy! We showed up thinking this was a fried chicken place. Found out the Po was for porridge. But we still lucked out. It was too hot out for a bowl of porridge and I'll have to come back for that but down on the bottom backside of the menu they have wings. They were crunchy and yummy. I just loved it. They had 3 types of wings and we tried the yang nyum and the gan jang sauce. Just the right amount of savory, sweet, and spice. They have call buttons on the table. Our waitress was attentive. Plus the Tteok-bokki was the best I have had yet in Phoenix. I could have dipped all the things in the sauce. Dinner came with the typical banchan and chopsticks and a spoon. Grateful I happened upon this place! I will come back.
