When you first walk into the restaurant, it smelled like they might've had issues with their bathrooms. But once we decided to stick around and be seated, the food made up for the wrong first impression. And apparently, even the smell didn't deter others from coming in to dine - which says a lot.
They had great salsa and chips, tasted like it was made fresh (we had multiple salsas throughout our meal). The tamale platter with green corn and beef tamales was full of flavor and moist. Both the Chile Relleno Chimi with Shrimp was great, as well as the fish tacos. The lunch prices were great and the service was excellent.
Once they work out the issue of the smell at the entrance, I can see this place taking off with the MCC students across the street.
What a wonderful Mexican restaurant! This place really is colorful; it makes me want to visit Mexico! The food is very good and the service is at or above average.
I went on Wednesday and enjoyed a full price entrée with a free dessert. I had the chicken enchiladas zuisas style with special sauce and avocado. I chose the mild green sauce and it was so good that I asked for extra sauce.
For dessert, I had the fried ice cream, which is my favorite mexican-restaurant dessert. This was one of the best I've had. They roll the ice cream ball in corn flakes (or something like it) and surrounded it with small mounds of whipping cream and chocolate sauce.
I also sipped on a strawberry margarita. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I don't drink margaritas very often, but it seemed properly made and very delicious.
My waitress was polite and prompt. She checked on me frequently without being too frequent.
Their bathrooms are clean and well-maintained. The restaurant itself is so pretty that the bathrooms can't quite compete and look quite plain. However, if the restaurant weren't so extravagantly decorated, I would say that the bathrooms are very nice with pretty tile. The seat liners were unfortunately out of stock when I went into the bathroom, but I'm very glad that they have the holders to provide them.
If I ever have the pleasure of visiting Mesa again, I will definitely revisit this restaurant.
Had a coupon for this place, but didn't use because they have a great lunch special (every day). Everything is homemade and tasted good. The lettuce for garnish was pretty wiltly but didn't mind. Small portions/Tacos, but it was only 6.95 and comes with rice, beans and a drink. Salsa is very tasty too. The decor is beautiful, very colorful! We will be back.
This is my second visit to Juanas and I can say they did not disappoint. I tried the mini chimichangas appetizer. It had two shredded beef and two veggie (bean and cheese) with pico de gallop, cheese and guacamole and sour cream on top. Yummy! My husband and I both had their shredded beef burrito plate which came with beans and rice. Great serving sizes. We had sodas but they do serve alcoholic drinks. Main and Dobson in Mesa. Give them try.
So good I cannot believe how many vegetarian and vegan options are our although I'm not a vegetarian I thought it was really cool. I had the enchiladas with the jalapeno cream sauce that was to die for! The only thing they messed up on was the micheladas should have tajin not salt but regardless we had a party of 12 and our server was amazing on top of everything.
Oh my! Bad day at work came to relax. Had 2 Coronas, queso fundido and chicken chimi with chili relleno inside. Wow every time I’m having a bad day this is my new spot to cheer me up. Karen was great she answered all my questions and recommended what I eat and she was spot on. Great food, great music, great waitress!!!!
We had a great time! 🌺 The food was incredibly good and the service remarkable!! 🍹We really enjoyed a beautifull afternoon brunch on their terrace! I would highly recommend! 💛
Came on a Saturday and the ambiance was perfect. Live music was spot on, food was delicious, and staff were professional and friendly. Will be coming back for sure.
I LOVE this location! This is my go to Mexican food restaurant! The food is ALWAYS amazing and the $5 house margaritas are strong!
Food was good and came quick, I sat on the patio and it wasn't the normal seating area but we still had great service from or waitress Karen.
This place is amazing well portioned yummy authentic food the Horchata is delicious music is festive and soothing the decor is super authentic great prices and the waiter had the most wonderful customer service definitely making it a favorite on our list😍my kids and I loved it!
Love their salsa! It's so fresh and they'll keep it coming from the second you sit down. I also love that they have a whole vegetarian menu. I've tried a few of the veggie burritos, and they're all solid choices. Not my absolute favorite, but pretty tasty. The service here is great as well!
Had dinner here. Was recommended by a client of mine. I love the decor. The waiter was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The food was so amazing and authentic. I order their 2 entree dinner special. Which came with what looked like a cilantro lime rice and beans. For my entrees I got a tamal with green chili and cheese inside smothered in green sauce, my second choice was a fish taco. It was so amazing that I ordered a second one. I am a fan of grilled fish tacos not the battered fish that is fried. Not many restaurants have grilled fish tacos but I was definitely happy that they had it here. I looked over the menu and there are things that I saw that I would love to try next time I eat at La Casa De Juana.
Beautiful decor, great food and margeritas! Do not miss this place! You will be happy you went!
Went for the first time with another couple. All four of us loved it. The margaritas were freshly made and didn't have that soapy taste that you sometimes get with a mix. I had a combo with a chili relleno and a green corn tamale and everything was wonderful. Our server knew it was our first time and he really took care of us. Will definitely go back.
Everything is incredible here! They have a whole list of delicious vegetarian options right on the menu. I've tried almost all of them and they are perfection. The rest of my friends and family are carnivores and between them they've tried nearly everything on the menu. Never a bad experience with food or staff. Ambiance, art, and design of the place is festive and colorful. Lots of really cool Mexican art in tables, booths, and chairs. Always a great visit. I truly recommend this restaurant highly. You won't be dissappointed
Great authentic Mexican food and service, the restaurant is very clean and well decorated.
The food is really good. I had the rib eye fajitas, they were delicious but for the price I should have received way more meat. I got five thin strips of steak for $17. I do not recommend ordering this. I do recommend getting the fried ice cream.
