Hit Rumbi a couple Saturdays ago for an early dinner. There were maybe two other people there around four o'clock so there was plenty of dining tables to choose from and the parking lot was empty.
All the staff we spoke to were happy and polite, the place was clean, well decorated, their patio was a pretty good size, and I was so happy to see their food was not in Styrofoam!
The food was delivered to our table hot and tasty. All three of us ordered different meals and all three of us tasted each others' and agreed it was ALL GOOD! My sister even enjoyed their sweet potato fries (and she does not like sweet potatoes).
I would def recommend Rumbi and look forward to visiting again.
We had impressive portions of delicious, fresh food there for lunch today. The place was clean, cool and welcoming. We, also, experienced great service with a smile. A little pricey, two large meals & 2 drinks was $40. We were grateful we made the choice to stop in.
We really enjoyed our meal at Rumbi Island grill. We got the volcano blackened mahi and Caribbean chicken and shrimp entrees. The flavors were perfect! Each entree cost around $17 and came with a great portion of fries. The sweet potato fries were so good!
Service was great. However, disappointed in dry chicken in two bowls, the serving size and price. What used to be 9, went to 14, now it's like $18. Which taking price hikes and all into consideration, I just thought it was a bit steep for what our usual was.
The serving size decreased quite a bit as well; it was a small bowl vs. what it used to be , a large bowl. All in all, I wouldn't discourage anybody from going there as the place is cool and the food is good a good perentage of the time. Get the lava cake, pretty good 8^)

From the moment we opened our truck door we were pleasantly surprised! Reggae music welcomed us and beckoned us in. When we entered the ambiance was nice and the smells of great island food had us wanting to try everything. The workers there were all pleasant and knowledgeable. I went with the sweet potato fries, Hawaiian teriyaki bowl with rice, grilled chicken, Hawaiian teriyaki sauce, carrots and zucchini, and pineapple Upside-downcake. The sweet potato fries were some of the best I've ever tasted and the sauce, OMG, I could brink that by the gallon. The chicken and rice were cooked perfectly and the sauce had just the right amount of balance between sweet and tang. Next time I'm not getting the carrots, they were rough on my gums, that was not anything they did, the carrots had a great crunch and yummy taste. With my strick diet, they were able to make it the way I needed. I let the nice young woman know that I would most likely be taking half home (I only got the half size and I was full only 1/4 way through) and when she brought the food to the table it already had the lid with it. When I was ordering the dessert she asked if I wanted brought out towards the end of the meal. I said yes and she brought it out at just the right time. The cake was so moist. The pineapple and sauce complimented each other wonderfully.
We will definitely be going back soon!!
Best sweet potato fries I've ever had. Better than any other fries, sweet potato or not, than I've ever had. Absolutely addicting!
I ordered and ate them in the store. They came perfectly cooked, just the right balance of crispiness on the outside, but soft and tender on the inside, and seasoned perfectly with the right amount of saltiness. I just died and went to French fry heaven!
Service was not super fast but not super slow. I enjoyed the bowl I ordered. Fresh ingredients and flavorful.
Came into this place tonight by mistake, had pulled into parking lot to get directions off my Google maps. Something smells really good, I look up and see RUMBI ISLAND GRILL. Hadn't eating in all day. So I decided to look at menu, not bad prices at all. Monday , $7.99 rice bowl with chicken, shrimp, white rice and a soda. I'm impressed, 1 out of 5 i give a solid 10. Customer service politeness and patience, cause i can be undecisive. And when your food is ready, they bring it to your table.
When my wife was looking for a fast dinner I mentioned Rumbi Island Grill, since it had been years since we were there and she liked it. She had forgotten what they served and was happy once she saw the menu. She ended up getting the Chicken bowl and liked it. I had the Luau Pork Plate and also liked it. We both upgraded to Rumbi Rice and I liked it, but my wife loved it. We will be back.
This is one of our go-to place. At least 2x a month. We always use the BOGO coupon they sent from the mail. Food is tasty, it's simple. Family love the pulled pork or sweet chicken. We've tried more than 10 dishes and my favorite would always be the Mango pulled chicken salad. It's really, really good. Always good service and friendly people. Good food portion. Clean place.
