We found this place accidentally. The place that was recommended was closed on a Sunday night so I checked the cars gps and the name of this place shined like a beacon. Not only do they serve great chicken but it is a beer lovers paradise. The amount of craft beers available are amazing. The knowledge of the owner was incredible and he pick two great IPA’s that we enjoyed with our chicken. You must visit this place.
Initially heard about this place because of their amazing craft beer selection and then found out they served food. Had to try out their fried chicken and it was amazing! I would definitely recommend checking out this hidden gem!

Great place to stop in get a drink and order amazing food. The liquor selection is 2nd to none and Mike is very knowledgeable. Val's food is to die for. You will need to be patient and enjoy a drink or 2 at the bar because they make everything from scratch and that equates to taking their time. But the end results are great. If you don't have time to wait I highly recommend calling in Togo order. The broasted chicken is amazing.
They have the best selection of booze
Excellent friday fish fry and German potato salad. Moving back from AZ, we were happy to find a local restaurant and liquor store with everything one could want. Thank you Mike and Val! We enjoy our Friday night fish and will visit often.
Great selection of beer and alcohol, like stepping back in time
The chicken and jo-jo potatoes are incredible! Whenever we have guests in our home from out of town, we treat them to food from The Beacon! They also have a great selection of alcohol.

I mean this in the best possible way... If a hoarder collected beer, their house would look like The Beacon. Tiny space, massive selection. This place has beer options that surpass most big city liquor stores, including a few beers I haven't been able to find in Madison. Spend some time, browse the stacks, and come away with some excellent libations.
Huge selection of craft beer here.....known for their chicken
If you are looking for a particular craft beer or bottle of liquor, this is the place to go. Yes they serve food, yes they serve alcohol, but really they are the best stocked bar around. Mike knows everything about craft beers. Just tell him what you want, he'll have it, get it or help you fine something better you didn't know was out there. If you love craft beers, you're gonna love stopping here.
