The food here is spectacular, all homemade. Eggs bennie is perfect and breakfasts offer a big thick slab of ham to start your day. Coffee is strong as it should be and this seems to be the place where locals talk politics and weather.

I had just taken my elderly father to wasau for dr appointment we drove over a hundred miles to get there pretty intense appt on the way home it was our first Time to Merrill we unfortunately drove up to Skippy's reastraunt it was 2:30 pm they close at 3: PM we certainly learned the closing time from the cook very uncomfortable place to be at . Would not visit again he said he was hot craby and repeated himself to the waitress the kitchen is closed. I just thought we were a burden and was afraid to eat there . It's to bad people have a job. If he didn't want to be inside find an out side job . The waitress was GREAT.

Skippers is where you come when you are looking for a close knit, family friendly atmosphere. Most of the people are regulars and know everyone else by name. The ladies that serve here are just the sweetest and love to be a part of the community.

Everything tastes great! One of the few places I've ever been where I have no problem finishing my entire meal. They do a great job here!

turkey sammy left much to be desired. Tasted like expired old gross piggly wiggly turkey. waitress was rude.
