I’ve loved this place since I was a kid in the 2000s, and it’s only gotten better every time I come back. I don’t live in the DC area anymore but I always try to come here when I visit.
The menu has so many options and the food is very fresh and usually locally sourced.
Our waiter today Diego was fantastic. He recommended the med style salad and pita 👌🏻 it was delicious
I come every week, love the place and the service. Diego was lovely even though I ask for change my Bloody Mary bc I didn’t know it was spicy (my fault) hahah he was super nice.

Delicious food at the "new" (not the 90s, early 2000s?) silver diner. Pumpkin spice cold brew shake was perfectly balanced between savory coffee and sweatness (spice as intermediary). The new omelette was delicious, with sweet balsamic against savory whipped ricotta and goat cheese. Side salad was balanced with spinach, citrus, and strawberry. The waiter was really helpful and pleasant. It would be nice if they did a modern take on the ice cream soda (milk, sugar, ice cream, seltzer) but with a spin.
Our server treated us with utmost courtesy and respect, making us feel like valued guests. Food was delicious and served promptly

Remarks: Came in for Breakfast and was seated quickly, received coffee and ordered quickly. Received my food about 5-10 mins later. Very good breakfast. Everything was cooked well and hot.

Silver Diner serves up great diner food, at a reasonable price, with a smile. One person in our party had a special order that needed correction. The staff handled it well and the manager removed the meal from the check even though our friend ate it. The breakfast was delicious and the Bloody Mary spicy. They also have great shakes and burgers!
I don’t know if I’ve had a breakfast this good in long time. Still not quite sure of everything in it, only that it was super healthy and incredibly delicious. Highly recommend any of their breakfast options and anything with their squash in it.
The wait was minimal, and our waiter was awesome. Will be coming back soon!
We were staying at local hotel, already disappointed from two vegan restaurants, was little worried about their vegan options. This place erased my frustration from the other two vegan restaurants. The vegan food was excellent, presentation was phenomenal. Service was okay, but the vegan food from a diner, mind blowing. Not too salty, fresh vegetables, good portions. I recommend to try this place if you are looking for vegan options. It is a diner setting, service but the food not your typical diner.
All in all service was amazing our waiter was Diego, he had really great personality. The atmosphere great per usual. This is still one of my favorite breakfast spots, but we usually go to Silver Diner, this time something different about the food. We found a carrot that was black and my fiancé liver was a little bit undercooked than it usually is, the chicken noodle soup was lukewarm and the peas in the pod were a bit undercooked.
