Yesterday night, it was like five minutes till the shop closed and it happened to be my mother's birthday. I called to see if they would stay open for an extra few minutes because my mom really wanted a Human Bean Frozen Hot Chocolate. They obliged and were absolutely wonderful! It was the Meridian, Idaho location on Main St. And Fairview. I greatly appreciate them helping me out. The two ladies were super kind and very helpful! Just wanted to say Thank You!!

This place is on point. Coffee and not coffee drinks. I love the staff and their vibe. The frozen hot chocolate is the best. Go Human bean.

I’m guessing they’ve hired quite a few new staff at this location. I used to go every morning and it was mostly the same baristas, but about a month ago I pulled in and ordered their snowy mocha… and she asked me how to make it. Unfortunately I’m not sure of their recipes so I couldn’t help her lol. She was really nice though. I started going less and less as every time I go my shots are either pulled to early or too late. I can get through the coffee when the shot is pulled late but today for example it must’ve only sat for a few seconds because my coffee was not drinkable :( 3 stars only because the service up to a month ago was great.

So upset with the service this morning. This has been a favorite for awhile now, but unfortunately today was so bad I won’t be going back. I order a weird drink. It’s not hard, but it’s not normal and I know that. But I’ve talked to staff and they have said it’s fine, not hard, just funny. It’s literally coffee, ice and whipping cream blended. The texture comes out weird, but it’s what I can have and I enjoy it. Today I ordered and when I got to the window I was told I couldn’t have that. I explained that I know the texture is funny, but it’s fine. I was told again no, but we can give you this other thing instead. I again said I know it’s going to be a weird texture but I get it here all the time. Again I was met with no. They don’t have a button for it… they can’t charge me for it… keep in mind I’ve already paid. In the meantime they also have asked me how to make my daughters drink, which is a normal drink item, but with sugar free. I told them I don’t know, however you would. It is AWFUL! So that went in the trash.
We’ve now been there 16 minutes and they are still refusing to make my drink and offering me things I don’t want and can’t have. I’m going to be late at this point. So I ask for my money back. I’m told no and offered another random thing. I ask for the second time for my money back because I need to go. I’m then told they are just going to make my drink how I wanted it. Another 3 minutes later I’m finally leaving. And not ever coming back. Absolutely the worst start to my day. My drink was exactly what I wanted though. 19 minutes and a lot of arguing later. But my daughter doesn’t have a drink because it’s gross.

Done with human bean! I keep going back thinking that it will get back to how it used to be, and it never does. It's so inconsistent it's comical. Just ordered two granitas that were all foam and chocolate sauce. Literally. I don't know how you turn a granita into foam, but you did. I am happy to make the one mile trip east to dutch bros from now on. I used to be a loyal customer, but unfortunately your product sucks. Plus, on my original review that was a two star, the response from the owner thanked me for the 5 star review. No complaints on service, as they are all nice and friendly.

To get the most quality out of your money and time, please do not buy from this specific location or The Human Bean in general. I made the poor choice of driving clear across town for a simple large americano and I was failed. By the time I got there, the line was only four cars long. I understood the wait time would be longer than usual because of staff issues but this was much longer than the norm. We sat there for around 15 -20 minutes, wasting gas. By the time I got to the window, I was greeted by a quick and rude "sorry we are closed". It wasn't the fact they were closed that disappointed me but that they knew and didn't bother to tell the rest of the cars during the entire 20 minutes of waiting. I wasted precious gas and time for such poor service. Not only that but they actually had three minutes left before closing so technically they could have still made coffee but that is on a less important note. This isn't the first time that I have been given poor service when it has come to The Human Bean but this was definitely the last straw. There is always really rude people except for the one on Lake Hazel and they aren't all that friendly. Please do not bother with a fake apology. I rarely post any bad reviews or even reviews in general. I hate The Human Bean now and their watered down coffee. I am definitely switching to Black Rock Coffee. Besides The Human Bean, Black Rock has always had amazing customer service and the best coffee. This is really disappointing and I hope reading this allows you to think about spending your time and money there. I am so sorry about the lengthy review, this whole experience is just upsetting and I don't want anyone else going through something so annoying.
