The Fox Den

First 1 star review I have ever given. Ordered the wings since it sounded like that is what they were known for. They were the worst wings I have ever had. Some of the pieces didn't even resemble a wing and didn't have any meat on them. They just scooped chili sauce on top of a few of them and the final straw was when I bit into one of them and it was completely raw in the inside.

***Update*** After posting this review the owner, Kim, went out of her way to reach out to me to try and make things right. She did offer to refund part of my money since so much of the food was inedible. And she guaranteed she would talk with the staff. While the staff may not seem to care much about this restaurant it is clear Kim does and I appreciate her going out of her way to try and make things right. I'm hoping this was a one time thing and may consider giving them a second shot some time down the line. ******************************************************* Dont ever order food from the Fox Den Tavern in Mequon. We used the uber eats app to order food from them and Justin's fries were burnt, the Reuben rolls were burnt, my tater tots were under done, everything was cold, my burger was dry, and there was not even close to enough sauce for the Reuben rolls. Then to top it off when I called to complain about how horrible the food was the customer service was just as bad! Upon answering the phone all I heard was a brisk hello that sounded irritated. No "thanks for calling the fox den how can I help you" or "fox den so and so speaking" nothing I had to ask to make sure I had contacted the right place. I then asked to speak to a manager and was informed no one was there call back tomorrow. So I explained we had just ordered from them and were very disappointed in the food. I explained all the things wrong with our order and she went on to say well there's nothing I can do call back tomorrow. So what would've happened if there was a complaint in the restaurant? You just tell them oh well? This was honestly the least professional restaurant I've ever encountered with food that is no better than they're awful customer service.

Over the hills and faraway, lies this hole-and-corner treasure! Truly an enchanting place. Sometimes the most spellbinding and mythical things of this world, have a very tangible destination. In this case it's Fox Den Tavern and Grill, 10631 W Freistadt Rd, Mequon, WI 53097. And this legendary fairy-tale turned out to be Idyllic! A great eclectic menu with a central comfort food theme. I've had amazing tacos and glorious Scottish eggs. I look forward to Korean Tacos and Foot Long Corn Dogs. Drinks are strong and everything is cheap. Cool customers. More people should go here... but not too many. It's the end of the rainbow. It's so classic it's to the point it's romantic. Sometimes food and love are interchangeable.
