My family celebrated the life of my late grandfather at The Spot on Lakeshore. I was blown away with how kind the owner and staff were when booking and at arrival. We had a large party of about 35 in the back room which felt like a family gathering. The party room did not echo at all and we were able to comfortably eat and talk. Everyone raved about their food. I can’t remember the waitress’ name, but she was beyond excellent and the food came out quickly for the number of us. A few favorites were the brunch burger, the BELT, eggs Benedict, and French toast. Thank you so much for allowing us all to enjoy a family brunch and we look forward to coming again next fall.
Brunch food is great! Service as well. I appreciate the live music on the weekends. I look forward to trying their new dinner menu sometime!
Delicious food! I have been here twice for brunch and it’s been stellar both times. They have the best sausage gravy I have ever had in my life. Portions are generous, reasonably priced, and very high quality. They have typical breakfast items but also some upscale options like short ribs, Slovenian sausage, and salmon. The restaurant is very clean and inviting. Nice-sized bar. They do have live music which isn’t my favorite, but it’s a good volume so you don’t have to shout over each other. Service can be a bit slow at times but they are always very busy and short staffed like most places these days. Great local spot!!
Went for a quick brunch
Tiramisu Pancakes: delicious! Not too sweet, but I wouldn't say tiramisu.
SLO skillet: crispy potatoes but soft on in the inside. Lots of flavor! But would recommend not putting the dollop of cream on top. The presentation could be better
Would not recommend the cold brew.
Great atmosphere, but bathrooms could be a bit more clean. Waitress was kind but not too attentive.
This is a rather unique restaurant. No fancy decor and nothing stands out at the location. The menu was great! Service was friendly. This restaurant offers a real variety of many great dishes.
I felt comfortable and hungry for breakfast even though it was early afternoon. Bacon was thick and better than average. Eggs were cooked the way I asked for. Toast was marble rye and thick sliced. I will definitely go back for lunch or dinner! 🙂✅
December 2022: I went here one night to participate in a series of popup events that they are hosting for local artists and vendors. I met a lot of great people and even got to try one of their signature sandwiches--the salmon burger, which a salmon patty fried to perfection topped with scallions, cream cheese, pickled red onions, spring mix of veggies on a brioche bun. It sounded a bit weird at first until I tried it.
Pros:
* Good food. I want to try their spot burger and their famous chicken and queso nachos the next time that I visit. Rumor has it that they have a superb breakfast too.
* Cool, down-to-earth staff that worked hard to make sure that the orders arrived quickly.
* Clean restaurant/bar that is open to fresh ideas.
* Plenty of parking.
Cons:
* I was unable to drink alcoholic beverages because I was the designated driver for my family.
Absolutely love the food. The salads are so fresh and flavorful. They have live music for brunch that’s the perfect volume and vibe. The owner is so nice too! My new fave “spot”
Real good food, service was great, we have Samantha a good run, and she politely gave it back. Highly recommend. Pay attention to the bathrooms.
The best chicken and waffles I ever ate!!!!!

Stopped here for breakfast yesterday. Very disappointed. We left without eating, over 30 minutes after ordering as we had to be somewhere. Not sure if they were short handed or what. First time I was not a happy customer.
This is a awesome place to go eat. I went to have breakfast. It's gives you a small-town feel with five star food. The country fried steak and eggs was excellent. Cooked and seasoned very well. My server was Bri B. She also was excellent and very attentive. I encourage you to ask for her when coming in.
