Blue Garden Cafe

We made reservations at the Blue Garden Cafe for Mother's Day brunch and when we arrived found the surrounding area quite beautiful and quiet. The three of us were seated at a small round wrought iron table with complimentary bird poop on it. The table was so small that it had barely enough room for our buffet plates let alone any room to put any personal items. The food was mediocre at best and the scrambled eggs which were dried out, cold and crusted over were not even edible. After awhile I went back to the buffet hoping that fresh eggs had been brought out but found that there was a patron helping herself to some of the still dried out eggs. I informed the host of this problem and fresh eggs were brought out quickly which were nice and hot but were watery and not completely cooked. Between our salad plates and buffet plates we had to bus our own table three times to make room for fresh plates of food from the buffet. No server ever once showed up at our table until he dropped off the bill about an hour and a half after we arrived. As he dropped off the bill he asked us if we would like more coffee and I replied that we had never been offered any coffee to begin with. When we initially sat down with our buffet food we discovered that there was no salt and pepper on our table. Since no server ever attended us I went into the dining area and inquired of two personnel there for salt and pepper and was told by both that "it should be on your table" before asking and receiving them from the host. We did observe other servers being appropriately attentive to patrons at their assigned tables but since we received Zero service we left Zero tip on the bill and we won't be returning to the Blue Garden Cafe.

This is the second time I have gone to the blue garden café. Our first visit was horrible due to the waitstaff. A waiter got into an argument with a patron in front of all of us and then spoke to us personally about how horrible that patron was, totally inappropriate to argue and to discuss the situation with another patron. Our second visit which was today on April 1, 2017 was again horrible due to the waitstaff. We were just stopping in after attending the Garden show, to have a cup tea and a dessert. The weight person was far from being customer friendly. She appeared irritated that we wanted to have something to drink and a dessert when they were going to be closing in 30 minutes. If that's the case then we should not of been told we could sit down. She brought us our tea and dessert but failed to bring us napkins. I went up to her while she was at the cash register and asked to have napkins please. She handed me three napkins and since there were four people at our table I interjected that we have four people. She then grabbed two more napkins and with an attitude shove them at me. Again totally inappropriate behavior and an unprofessional manner in dealing with customers. We have given this café two opportunities to provide good service and create an enjoyable experience and both times they have failed. The environment and surrounding gardens are beautiful but it is no way to spend time by being recipients of RUDE service. Stay away! There are many other places to go with lovely service.
