This is a small diner in an empty lot. They only take debit cards or cash.
I ordered the steak and eggs platter with a waffle. The steak was big and tender but kind of chewy. The eggs, toast, and hashbrowns were good. The waffle was great. They had the food ready on time. They provided steak sauce, ketchup, butter, and syrup without me having to ask.
I loved to sit here and eat with friends and family. It’s not a long way from my home so I could walk here if I wanted to. Menu has a good variety of meals to choose from. Servers are nice. I always ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with a hash brown and sweet tea. I forgot her name but the older lady who cooks the food is phenomenal. The building is outdated but the atmosphere is overall good. It was really nice to be able to be considered a regular at diners like this.
They seriously need an appliance upgrade and some repairs to their interior. However this place is one one of the best breakfast you'll ever get in Memphis... the people always friendly very down-to-earth and your food is always cooked to order.
The food is good af once you over look the attitudes and how it seams to not be so clean...the food comes out looking better than the pictures (we have all had the opposite effects from most places)and taste great too
Nothing better than traveling and enjoying some down home cooking. I visit Memphis yearly to bowl, and CK's is my go to for breakfast. Please enjoy it for yourself. cheers!
Love the pork chop platter.. 2 pork chops, 2 eggs and hash browns.... And definitely don't forget to get the famous waffles!
The building is old and in need of a makeover but the food is consistently good and the staff are friendly. We have been regulars here for many years.
