Greeted by Sharon’s warm smile & sweetness, the meal of ribs, catfish, fried okra, green beans, Cole slaw & bbq beans were all we were hoping for & craving on our drive into Memphis. I’d say Sharon is a mind reader when she brought us the enticing homemade banana pudding as we were wrapping up our meal but I was also thinking about the way peach cobbler, too. 🥰

We travel through Memphis each year and just found this gem! After trying many places in the area, we saw Arnold’s behind our hotel this year. We decided to stop for rib tips before heading to Gus’s. They were delicious. So full of flavor! The smoke ring was bright red! After sharing some chicken at Gus’s we knew we wanted more bbq, so decided to stop by on our way back to our hotel. When we walked in, Sharon greeted us. She was surprised to see us back in the same evening. We got more ribs tips, the beef brisket sandwich, big boy hamburger, and the catfish sandwich - Sharon style (with pickled jalapeños and hot sauce). Their fries were fantastic, get them seasoned. All food was made fresh and tasted delicious! But most of all, our two children left saying they felt like they just spent time with family. Sharon had the owner Mike come out and speak with us. They were both so down to earth and treated us so friendly. I left with a full stomach and a full spirit.
If you’re in the area, you’ve got to stop in!! They make everything in house and take care to ensure it’s delicious!
Thanks y’all! We’ll see y’all next time we’re in town.

This was our second visit. We had gone a year ago and so enjoyed it. Being from Wisconsin, we don't often get to enjoy Southern cooking, so of course, I ordered Catfish and fried okra. My husband was excited to get both ribs and Catfish on a platter!
Food was excellent, as was the service.
We also ordered a pound of the smoked chicken salad to bring home for dinner after a 10 hour drive! It did not disappoint. My husband also had leftover Catfish we he exclaimed, "Just as good as yesterday!"

What a gem this place is in Memphis. We were passing through on a road trip across country and stayed one night. There are thousands of restaurants to choose from and for some reason we were guided here. Once we got there, we knew why. Family owned and they make you feel like family. The food was incredible and that day we went, they didn’t have red meat. Only pork and chicken. We bought some of their BBQ sauce it was that good! Highly recommend this place. It’s going to be a go too and honestly hope this amazing restaurant ends up on a Netflix show that’s how good it is.

If you’re in the downtown Memphis area make sure to save some time to check Arnold’s out! Before I even get to the food I gotta say the family that owns the place is absolutely awesome and treat you like family. Great people! On top of that the food was top notch, and being New Orleans area residents—it’s rare to find food we like when we travel. The fried catfish and the brisket plate were delicious and the sides were on point. The wife got the grilled chicken salad and loved it. Highly recommended, don’t miss out on this gem when in Memphis!

If you are in Memphis and looking to quench that Memphis BBQ foodie craving, this is THE spot! Bonus points for being within walking distance of Beale St.
My wife and I were in Memphis for just a couple of days and were hunting for some of the best BBQ to try. This place makes me want to move to Memphis.
I literally don’t know where to start. When I say everything was phenomenal, I mean it. From the brisket, to the coleslaw (I don’t even like coleslaw, but omg was this good), the Italian spinach, baked beans, rib tips, and homemade sauce.
I wish I could remember the name of sweet woman who waited on my wife and I. She took her time to come over and chat with us and was the epitome of southern hospitality.
This is a must try spot for anyone visiting Memphis.
P.S. Google maps correctly takes you to an alley. Loop around and park in the grassy lot

So would love to give this place 4.5 stars but not an option.
Took us a moment to find but from the moment we walked in we were greeted with southern hospitality. Our waitress, I believe her name was Sharon, was great. She even gave us tips on what to see while visiting Memphis.
The food was also great! I had the chopped pork shoulder platter with slaw and Mac. I basically licked my plate. They also had an Elvis themed pink Cadillac drink. Basically pink lemonade and sprite.
What kept it from five stars was the price. Somehow two non-alcoholic drinks and two platters with sides plus tax and tip landed us just shy of $80 for lunch.

We had the best experience here. Arnold’s was super close to our hotel, and was recommended as a great place to eat. Food was authentically Memphis, and the service was awesome. Our server, Sharon (?), was so friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed our conversation with her. It made us feel like we had really connected with Memphis in a local way, rather than just as tourists.

Some of the best baked beans I've ever had! My wife had the catfish and said it was delicious. While this was her first time eating full catfish with the bone, our server, Sherri was a great instructor on how to efficiently separate the bone. Overall, her service was the best part. Usually when I see a 20% service fee for dine-in, I turn the other way but glad I stayed because Ms.Sherri definitely earned that plus more. 5/5 all around.
