This place will always hold a special place to me. I will always remember going here when I was a child. Hibachi is such a fun dinner night with the kiddos in toe. The children's menu is still under ten dollars for chicken and steak. Mind blown. I have always ordered the teriyaki chicken so tradition dictated the same tonight. We laughed and enjoyed the chef and the food. Worth the trip and the money. PS. This was the children's first visit to a hibachi tonight. They were pumped and already eager to go back.

Excellent Japanese hibachi restaurant, and the oldest one in the city of Memphis! Geographically centered in the middle of the city, this restaurant is very convenient for most Memphians to access and delivers on food and atmosphere! In addition, reservations are recommended -particularly on weekends! Highly recommended!

Was a very fun experience and the cook was awesome, food was really great, the chicken was nicely seasoned and juicy along with the steak.

Can't believe I've never been here before. I've lived in Memphis for too many years to have missed this.. side note, I loved the 80s, and this place is absolutely trapped in the 80s, so its a little bit like a time warp, and that adds to the appeal for me...The cooking "show" was fun to watch, but even beyond the show, the food was good, and deserves a positive review of its own. The appetizer was something like potstickers, really good. The salad looked basic, but then that dressing on it tasted awesome. We tried the shrimp with fried rice, steak with fried rice, and chicken with fried rice... the chicken and shrimp were flavorful, but the steak was bland (I should've gotten it teriyaki).. Even with a few glasses of wine, we spent only about 30 bucks a person.. we are definitely going back.

I've been coming here for over 20 years (practically since I was born!) and I STILL get insane cravings for this place. You'll never get tired of it. I can't even recommend anything specific on the menu because you just can't go wrong no matter what you order! Pro tip: do NOT skip the bean sprouts or the sauces that come with your meal, they'll change your life. And btw for everyone complaining about the upcharges, it says right there on the menu that fried rice costs extra. Did you think the butter/veggies/sauce that they put in it was free? You will need a reservation to eat here most nights because it's popular and for good reason, but they're easy enough to set up and you won't regret it!

Came here for my girlfriend's birthday day. Had a waaay better time then I thought I would. Love the food and the staff are super friendly. I say try the deep fried ice cream. You wouldn't be upset.

Classic Memphis restaurant that never gets old. Very good food at a great price served in a fun atmosphere. Good way for couples who have been out for a long time to have some dinner conversation with other friendly guests at the table
