The Half Shell Restaurant was ok. The restaurant was easy to locate. The waitress was attentive. The was average, we liked the crab cake and tarter sauce the best. BE AWARE THAT EXTRA SAUCES OR BUTTER is extra cost. The waitress didn't mention it the upcharge of .50 cent. The bread was good. The restroom needed attention, I made sure not to show the trash on the floor, but it did smell good.
Although we were passing through, this would not be a repeat restaurant. There is also added gratitude and prices at different times. I feel like the restaurant may be using COVID to mandate people to tip. My concern is that I always tip for good service. I was told the waitstaff gets paid $2.80 an hour, which is pathetic for a company to pay less than minimum wage. I would never eat here again when a company doesn't pay their staff minimal wages and expect for them to be excellent servers.
Stopped here last night with my friend CJ and had a nice meal. The catfish with fries and rice was good. Good service overall. Next time I will try to stop by for lunch since the lunch menu was better than the dinner menu.
I visited this restaurant with my mom and stepdad while in town from Atlanta because it was close to our hotel and recommended by a friend from Memphis. Our service was a little slow, but our waitress was nice and offered good recommendations for food and drinks. The food and drinks were on point. My stepdad hasn't stopped talking about one of the best gumbos he has ever had and even went back a day later to get a gallon which he drove back to Atlanta! The red beans and rice were good as well. The peel-n-eat shrimp were fresh. This lemon drop martini was made just right. I will definitely return when back in Memphis.
The lady bartender was off the chain. Moving and servicing everyone on point. Late night and food was EXCEPTIONAL
I went into this location for their crab cakes. I placed my to go order at bar, the bartender who took my order was polite, respectful , they prepared order fast, food was delicious once i got home to eat it. The crab cakes was delicious an i luv their steak fries, it was a crab cake po boy with steak fries, maybe I'll add shrimp next time, everything was delicious i definitely will give em 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 an im looking forward to a return trip.
The grilled country oysters were some of the best I have ever had. All the food was good and their was plenty of it. A little pricey than some other places. Would have gave them 5 stars had they still had the crab legs.
Always a good experience. Anytime we come here we are seated promptly & receive excellent service. I have NEVER had a bad drink or dish from this place. The food is so good I always forget to take photos before I dive in lol! It will forever be on my list of “go to” restaurants!
Always consistently good food. A bit dark inside, but that just adds to the experience. The red beans and rice is extremely good. Great service and management makes sure you're ok.
I really enjoyed this place and it was my fiance and I date night. First off there wasn't a long wait the establishment was very clean, the hostess was nice she got our table in seconds I'm surprised because it was a full house. Then our waiter can't remember his name but I'll never forget a face, he was professional, well mannered, I'm guessing they hire really great cooks because our food came fast. The waiter returned a few more times to see how we were doing (Great Customer Service). Food was great, the music, the people enjoying their meals, I would recommend them to anyone

Came here (June 13) for lunch with a friend and our expectations were low being that we’re in the middle of an pandemic. The restaurant wasn’t crowded at all with a few folks at the bar, a birthday celebration out on the patio, and a few folks inside.
This rating is receiving 4 stars (need to be 3... the food wasn’t that great) because JAYLON was amazing! He literally was working everywhere throughout that restaurant without a complaint. He initially told us the service may be slow because of lack of servers but we didn’t notice... he was ON IT. Our drinks and food came out promptly and he consistently checked on us. GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE, PROMOTION... SOMETHING. The other girl that was there was just.... sis... go home (smh).
I’m really writing this review based off of the customer service we received but if you wanted to know I ordered the Half Shell Combo with Fries and a Side Salad with ranch, The Bahama Mama for an adult beverage and water. The highlight of that meal was the adult beverage and salad. I didn’t care for the Half Shell combo... at all. It tasted “chain restaurant type.”
I would come back ONLY because of the customer service received by Jaylon and possibly try their Seafood Gumbo. Again, we’re in a pandemic so we wasn’t expecting anything out of the extraordinary but customer service is definitely hard to find!
